Opened late-2014 this bistro serves vegan and raw-vegan dishes (from 8pm) inspired by local and international cuisines. Diners eat in the company of six cats who wander around the tables. Cozy atmosphere. Reservations are required for dinner, usually 5+ days in advance. Kitchen is open 10AM-11:30AM (breakfast) / 1PM-2:30PM (lunch) / 4PM-6:30PM (afternoon snack) / 8PM-10:30PM (dinner). Open Tue-Sun 10:00-11:30, 13:00-14:30, 16:00-18:30, 20:00-22:30. Closed Mon.

Great food, cute cats - Edit
Romeow was by far the best cat cafe we have ever been to, both in relation to the food and the care for the cats. The place is tastefully decorated, the cats are relaxed and several groups of locals seemed to genuinely to come just for the food.

Amazing food and cute cats! - Edit
Such a cute restaurant with cats that roam around freely. The restaurant serves only vegan food, which is rare in Rome! I loved the cats and the food quality was super great. The staff were very kind and thoughtful for letting us in a little before the opening time, so we didn’t have to wait in the rain. Overall I loved the experience!

The quality of the Food was excellent. After we had dinner there we were so amazed by the place that we came back for breakfast. The Bistrot is very clean and the food delicious. The prices are okay, it’s not really cheap, but defo worth the quality. Plus the cutie lovely cats just make the place adorable. When I’ll get back to Rome one day, I won’t miss out the Bistrot. Thanks guys ❤️

My favorite place to eat in Rome - Edit
Romeow Cat Bistrot was my favorite place I ate during my 10 day trip in Italy. I thought it might be really touristy, but it was quite the opposite. We were surrounded by Italian customers and our server confidently approached us with a long string of Italian.
Read moreI ordered the spaghettone di gragnano, and it was amazing! This white sauce pasta was paired with a pear compote, and the combination worked marvelously. (The server called this option a classic Roman dish, although I’m not sure that referred to the compote part.) I also ordered the white cheesecake, and it was one of the most beautiful things I have ever eaten! (And tasted great too.) There weren’t a ton of cats around, but it was still a nice atmosphere.
I highly recommend this restaurant! (Get a reservation in advance online.)

We had three nights in Roma and wanted a couple of fine vegan dining experiences. Romeow looked to have a great menu; we were not disappointed. Top quality food in a nice atmosphere, with attentive waitresses and a lovely bottle of San Carro. Highly recommended.

So, the cats are kind of just decorative. This isn't a "cat cafe" like you might find in Japan or elsewhere. You mostly ignore the cats, and they mostly ignore you.
Read moreThe food is really good, though. They provided an amuse-bouche with plant-based feta that I enjoyed, and I also ordered the seitan appetizer and the peanut tofu dish. The appetizer was a little odd, in that I can get vegan lunchmeat at home and this felt like that, but it was tasty. The tofu was excellent though, good sized pieces.
It was rather expensive and I don't feel like I got a lot of food for the price; next time I might plan to just spend a little more and get the €60 tasting menu as I think that would be a better option.

Read moreI wanted to add that I personally felt the food was expensive, but to someone else it may not be an issue. I am a university student on a small wage with limited income. I totally understand that the cost needs to reflect the quality of the food and cover the costs of the cats too ♥️. The cost doesn’t reflect in my rating as the experience itself was great 🙏🏻.

Disappointing experience - Edit
We made a reservation for dinner online, when we arrived, the lady told us it was for the tables outside. We were surprised because on the website wasn't that information and the staff kept telling it was, then they told the info was in Italian and not in English. It was frustrating because the staff keept an "it is what it is" atitude instead of getting a solution. We ended up sitting outside loosing the cat café experience and they had two free tables the hour we spent there. I'm really sad about this experience because I wanted to come here since planing my trip to Rome.

Read moreAll dishes are plant based and house made, fresh and unique. A good choice of desserts too. You can either go for a coffee or lunch/dinner. Staff are very attentive, fast and speak English if you are not local.

Ahhhh ho capito chi sei. Sei la ragazza che è venuta alle 13 a cui abbiamo detto che la colazione non si poteva fare a quell’ora (come ben scritto sul sito) e avete chiesto due muffin a portar via. Non l’ho riconosciuto perché mi ha tratto in inganno la tazzina, non per altro. 4euro per un muffin con latte di mandorla e gocce di cioccolato non mi sembra PREZZI ALTISSIMI. Potevate non prenderli perdonami, nessuno vi ha obbligati. Questa recensione è perché non abbiamo potuto farvi accomodare, mi dispiace ma i nostri orari sono scritti bene sul sito e alle 13 siamo esclusivamente ristorante è come ha visto sono entrate tantissime persone per il pranzo e non riuscivamo a gestire la cosa se non in maniera sbrigativa.

Il locale ha delle vibes fighissime, il solo fatto che ci sono gatti che girano tranquillamente per il locale, dormono giocano o si arrampicano lo rende un posto particolare, il locale e super curato e pulito, e il personale simpatico. Il cibo e stra buono, una cucina gurmet vegana. Assolutamente da provare, i dolci hanno la fama di essere buonissimi, purtroppo io e il mio amico (non vegano che ha gradito tantissimo la cucina vegana) andavamo di corsa e non abbiamo potuto aspettare per provare più cose. Sicuramente tornerò.

I loved the concept and the menu of this 100 vegan restaurant, with a perfect mix of fine dining in a casual and cozy environment. The floats were top notch and you can tell there was passion in the food and plating. I loved what I had and looked at others peoples dishes with envy since it all looked delish. Not to mention the sweet and well behaved cute kitty cats hanging around wherever they please!

We stupidly came here on a Monday only to realise they were closed. Before coming back the next day, my (non-vegan) sister said to me, "This better be worth it!", and after our visit she agreed that it definitely was! We ordered pancakes and smoothies, which were both pretty and delicious. The cats are really cute, the only slightly annoying part was a group of children running after them. Our waiter was friendly. Overall the atmosphere is lovely, at least in the morning when we came.

Every thing on the menu was vegan, and everything was delicious. The coconut Carpaccio blew me away. Pad Thai was a group fave, I loved Seitan curry. Desserts all good especially the cheese cake. Staff really friendly started off as just a vegan place but the owner had cats so she thought to combine the too. Such a nice day.

Purrfect Way to Start our Vacation - Edit
We kicked off our first meal here in Rome and not only loved the concept with it being a cat cafe, but also the food was delicious! Had a wonderful pesto pasta dish and my partner had a tempeh dish and both were so flavorful and beautifully prepared. Some cats were more social than others, but overall lovely experience and high recommend adding it to the list! The food was definitely more upscale than your typical cat cafe, which was even more exciting!

We had a lovely time here, the cats were cute and the breakfast was good. We had a coconut milk, mango and vanilla smoothie, a cold cappuccino and pancakes. The place seems like a lovely place for the cats, with many places to sleep, climb and play, they even had a space in the window for them to get fresh air.
