Saturday brunch - Edit
Had a delicious Saturday brunch here. Got the market hash with my fav smoked potatoes and the vegan carnitas rancheros. Also had fresh squeezed OJ. And we added an apple fritter for done sweets. Everything was very good.

Love this spot - Edit
Such a great little spot, love their patio. Really enjoyed most of what we had. Didn’t love the Brussels sprouts but I also have never been a bacon fan and they are very bacon-y. Everything else was awesome, especially the beignets!

Reverie truck @ Veg Fest - Edit
We got the jackfruit nachos and the Bahn MI sandwich. Both were beyond amazing!! The nachos were perfection, chips crispy, "cheese" sauce delicious, flavor balance, everything. The sandwich had great flavor and texture, mild spice- not overpowering, lovely!

Bring help to carry a muffin home - Edit
The name Reverie is *not* to be confused with Reveille (the bugle song used by the military to awaken people and summon them to the first formation of the day), although that would be a great name, too.
Read moreThe website does not mention how it got its name. Reverie is defined (by the all-knowing internet) as “an extravagant conceit of the imagination; a vision.” I am assuming the 585 founders listed on the website are the original donors to its start-up funding request, all united with a common [vegan] vision, thus the name.
My only “complaint” after eating here is that I wish Reverie had an “About” page on its website that describes all of this and its history. Food-wise I absolutely have no complaints – they have it nailed.
CURBSIDE BURGER REVIEW
One nice aspect about this burger is that it does *not* have an Impossible Burger patty. Instead, there is a house-made patty with special sauce, cheese, lettuce, tomato & pickles. Sort of Reverie’s answer to the Big Mac. Delicious to the last bite.
SIDES REVIEW
It was my first time eating here so I indulged with a side of Smoked Potato Salad (yum…love the creamy dill dressing), Handcut Organic Potato Wedges (every one was perfectly cooked), and a glass of blueberry ginger Kombucha which they had on tap (very nice combination of flavors).
CHOCOLATE BEET MUFFIN REVIEW
Anticipating no room for dessert, I ordered a Chocolate Beet Muffin to go, because, well, beets! Carrying it to my car required frequent rest stops – it is that substantial. I could not resist measuring and weighing it when I got home. It is 3.75" wide x 3” high and weighs 0.37 lbs. Fellow introverts beware! This muffin will cause you to yell “WOW” after taking your first bite, and make “mmmmmm” noises with each subsequent bite. Heads will turn in your general direction…eyes will be upon you. Totally worth it.

Great Veg Spot - Edit
You gotta hand it to the vegans in Minneapolis. A city known for their crunchy, granola, artsy, hipster, biking, tattoo-wearing, outdoorsy types. So, naturally, vegan restaurants fit all around the city. And hey, I’m one of them! They have knockout breakfast burritos, the biggest caramel roll you’ll ever see, and a great patio where you’ll find just the right amount of kindhearted hipster community you’d expect in south Minneapolis. Vibes and community are 10/10.

Fine, Not Stellar - Edit
Not too many vegan restaurants in this town. This one was mentioned everywhere as one of the best, so when we were in town we tried it. A bit disappointed. Nice vibe, great people, the food was just okay.

Brunch was just ok, but atmosphere great - Edit
Pros: awesome outdoor patio, super cozy. desserts were fantastic (beignets and tahini & blueberry bostock which is a French sugary repurposing of stale bread).
Read moreOther: we tried 3 different brunch items and they were all just *ok*. Breakfast biscuit sandwich was giant and could only be eaten with a fork. Biscuit and gravy was a bit unexpected and not in a good way. Just a biscuit sitting in basically a gravy soup with potato chips. Hmm. The sausage is super full of fennel, just fyi. Polenta was just ok as well.
Consider this 3.5 stars for now, but I’ll definitely come back and try other items in the future.

We loved it all. Mac and Cheese, breakfast sandwich, korean BBQ tacos, and potato salad. Ordered takeout on the highway and just grabbed it from the to go area. Super convenient. Sit down area outside looks wonderful, will stop again!

Comfy cozy - Edit
Cute little restaurant! I had a BLT salad with added seared tofu, and my friend had roasted brussels sprouts. The salad was just OK and a little overpriced. I wish I'd had the chance to try more menu items. They have a pastry case with desserts in the front, and rotating flavor of soft serve.

Absolutely fabulous - Edit
Oh my god, this place is so good. The food is delicious, the service is super fast and friendly. There was a lot of tasty sounding options on the menu. We went with fried artichoke, cauliflower tacos and a big salad. Followed by a delicious cheesecake and soft serve ice cream with raspberry sauce. It was super delicious. I also had an amazing coffee dark ale which was really delicious.

Shows great promise - Edit
This place is a bar with a small menu. They went "plant based" a few weeks ago and are trying out some things to see what works. The people are nice, the food is limited but good, there are lots of beers and drinks to choose from, there's live music at certain times, and they have parking and free wifi. I wish them the best.
Read moreUpdate: I came in for some brussels sprouts, a barbecue sandwich, and some beignets. This is a new location from the last time I was here. I like this location better it’s got a more comfortable vibe and there is an outside patio. The food I had was good, but not wow. I give this place a solid 3 1/2 stars.

Excellent comfort food-ish vegan meal! - Edit
I ordered 3 different burgers which were all great. The burger patty was neat - Not too “super realistic fake meat” but also not too “here are 3 lentils, an oat and 7 kidney beans on a bun” LOL. The Fried Artichoke Hearts are a MUST. Everything was outstanding. The only thing I found to be so-so was the “Classic BLT” which is seasoned tempeh. I like tempeh but this just didn’t do it for me. I’d definitely eat here again. Note: They don’t accept tips but instead add a flat 20% service surcharge to your order. I always tip 20% or more dining in but 20% for carry out seems a bit steep. Maybe that’s me just being old though.

Cons: Didn’t like the Classic tempeh BLT

Oh so good - Edit
We had a sandwich and this special mac n cheese with short rib on top, or whatever that mock meat was, both were absolutely incredible! The mac n cheese was so delightful but slightly spicy. There were nonstop people in line the entire time we were there. We went on a Friday night. Love love love.

Lovely place - Edit
So nice to have my wife who, is sensitive to dairy products, be able to choose anything on the menu! And it was super clear that I could get what I wanted and still have it gluten free! But the best part was how yummy the food was, followed by the ease of ordering, the comfy interior and the warm atmosphere. A big thank you to this place for a wonderful meal!

Small delightful cafe. The service was awesome & prices reasonable. The brussel sprouts and tacos were very good (omnivore bf loved them). Sadly, the arugula was swimming in oil. I paid when I ordered and the total bill didn’t make sense. That’s when I was told a 20% service fee was added already added.

Love their Breakfast/Brunch - Edit
We love eating here, I would say breakfast/brunch is my favorite. The Bloomington bowl is amazing. For supper we ordered Rice + Beans and Lemongrass Tofu Tacos. Also had Beignets for dessert. I think anything you order would be great, we’ve had only positive experiences!

Just what we needed - Edit
We had been craving a good vegan brunch for a long while, and we were happy to have the time to try out Reverie. Not disappointed at all! The choices were amazing and everything was very flavorful. Menu items marked clearly for gluten and nut sensitivities. Their seasonal chia pudding looked fabulous. Many bakery items also gluten free.

You Really Can't Go Wrong - Edit
Everything I've had at Reverie has been amazing. With everything being vegan, you have all the choices. They even label what has nuts and what doesn't, and what you can order gluten free. Definitely get a bakery treat if you're in the mood they're always amazing. The hummus plate and breakfast burrito are both some of the best food I've ever had. I literally went two days in a row. And the staff are so kind and so fun. Seriously love it here and so glad I found this place. It really feels like home there.
