Great food - Edit
Although the place is not big (one long counter table 2 tables), they do offer a lot of dishes and cakes.
Read moreWe had the lasagna and the parmigiana (daily dish), and then later we got a prune croissant and a potato muffin.
Everything we got was yummy, so I would certainly come back if I'm in Lausanne again. Note that you'd better arrive early if you want to eat-in.
There is also a small corner with products like cookies, tempeh, hummus and other staples.
All-in-all, a great place to visit when in town.
Pros: food, service, variety

The only all-vegan place in Lausanne - Edit
I go there regularly, you always feel welcome; very kind staff. They have a great choice of both sweet and savoury options. It's a bit small and it can get very crowded at lunch, so if you want to take your time and enjoy the food and space I would advise going in the morning or after lunch hour.

Delicious healthy food - Edit
This cafe offers a lot of raw food and also hot food, plenty of gluten free options too. I ordered the dish of the day which was chickpea pancakes with pulled mushrooms and roasted veggies and salad. It was all well seasoned, the pancakes had dollops of delicious cashew cheese and pesto. I also ordered the pizza slice which was very tasty too.

Green juice, kombucha, and raw desserts ♡ - Edit
A place with green juice, kombucha, and raw vegan desserts is a great treat in the city. I also had the opportunity to try new vegetables from their vegan cooked food specials. I love the window bar. Cozy! Thank you!

I love this little cafe! I stop in as often as I can to grab a pastry or sandwich. The food, coffee, atmosphere, and staff are all wonderful. Being a vegan in a small city like Lausanne doesn’t leave many options for eating out, but this place has quickly become a favorite of mine😄

What a lovely treat in Lausanne! I had the quiche and soup and my friend had the same thing but a different quiche and my other friend had the buckwheat porridge. Then we bought a lot of sweets for the road. Everything tasted so good and healthy!

Very nice atmosphere, food is fine - Edit
We went there for breakfast. The hot chocolate was very good, the food wasn't very good, but it wasn't bad either. I've had much better vegan croissants in other places, but considering it's the only fully vegan place in Lausanne, it's still good.

Try the potato cake! Buddha bowl wasn't that great - Edit
I really like the little potato cake (savory, not sweet), something I didn't know before that was was a good starter. The buddha bowl on the other hand was fine, but didn't rock my world.

Original, quality and, above all, delicious food - Edit
Racines has its own take on PB food, bringing together various ingredients into wonderful dishes.
Read moreWe had the plat du jour, which was a pulled mushroom bao (wrap) with delicious mushrooms in a BBQ sauce and a topinambour sauce on the side.
Our other dish was a mushroom & carrot quiche. I wish that the slice had been bigger, as it was smooth and tasty. It came with a raw vegetable soup made with courgette, cucumber and fennel that was very refreshing and 'honest'.
We had a dirty chai latte that was excellent, although our favourite is still the one served by Zeitgeist in Lyon. The visual presentation of this drink by Racines stands out, though.
The hot chocolate was also very good and balanced. A chocolate lover may want a bit more cacao in it, but for me it was perfect.
Racines offers a wide variety of sweet and savoury pastries that we have ordered as take-away and have still to savour.
Racines' food reminds us a bit of Hong Kong-based vegan French chef Tina Barrat, with its focus on raw and semi-raw products that stand out for their freshness and quality.
Lausanne is richer and more attractive as a place to visit because of Racines. 😀
Pros: Atmosphere and interior, Wide variety of choices, Quality and taste of the food
Cons: Not cheap (welcome to Switzerland!)

Cute little vegan spot - Edit
Perfect cute little vegan spot for a quick snack on a long day. Got a slice of quiche and a muffin. The crust of the quiche was delicious and the muffin pleasantly tart. Staff was friendly and brought the food out to me on really cute plates.
