Will go again

We went with a reservation for 6 (2 adults, young 3 children and a baby) at 5.30pm on Saturday. The restaurant was already full except for the bar stools and a group of 4 had to wait for a table. There were only 3 choices on the children's menu: Grilled cheese, burger and quinoa. All served together with salads or french fries ($8). We ordered burgers and grilled cheese. The grilled cheese was ok, good portion for a child, but the burger each was slightly too big for the children. Both of them didn't like the patty. i tried it and found that it was a bit salty and the taste was really not appetizing. We had also BBQ cauliflower wings (very good, guess because it was sweet), big poutine (my first one and the mushroom gravy was good. But should have order a small one as an appetizer. The big one made it a meal), grilled bacon avocado (ok) and peanut sauce noodle (a bit too dry, but i like the grilled tofu). Due to the big poutine, we got really full and we did a take away for vanilla cake dessert, since the baby started to cry. But the place was kind of noisy that even a baby's scream didn't seems like disturbing anyone. Anyway, the vanilla cake was a big dry and the frosting was ok. All these went about slightly more than 100$ including tips.

Pros: Food, Children friendly, Friendly and attentive staff

Cons: Price

Good vegan putin but expansive

I gave a try to the vegan putin (my first one). It was really good but 2 problems. It's really not enough for a meal and the whole menu is rather expansive...

Pros: Full vegan, Tasty, Great service

Cons: Expansive, Putin is little

Classic Ottawa Veg Spot

Pure Kitchen is well known in Ottawa and has two locations plus a sister yoga studio chain (Pure Yoga).

This well established restaurant offers smoothies, fresh juices, burgers, salads, bowls and all the standards you expect from a well-rounded western vegetarian spot. Their “BLT” is really good and so are their fries.

I would recommend, more trendy polished looking place and less hippie looking than most veggie places.

4 times in 6 days

I have not had a meal that I didn't like! The service is excellent and the food, amazing. The fact that we wanted to go there and go back again and again speaks for itself.

Pros: almost everything is vegan. cheese can be added to

Cons: the atmosphere is lovely but it can be loud

Went with my mom & boyfriend who are both non veggie and they loved it! I highly recommend the Fantastic bowl. The peanut sauce is amazing and the lemon grass tofu! Also went again for breakfast and the chocolate maca smoothie bowl was so delicious & filling.

Great food

This restaurant had been recommended by a non-veggie friend so definitely wanted to try it out. We went on a Tuesday evening around 7.30pm and had to wait an hour for a table. They did take a phone number and indicated they would text when a table was ready - they estimated a twenty minute wait but ended up being much longer. Did not matter too much as it was a beautiful evening. The food was excellent- had Shittake dumplings followed by tofu noodles. Felt that the quality of food was worth the cost. Services was excellent but found the acoustics were terrible-it was incredibly busy and very noisy with chatter and found it difficult to chat to my friend. My ears were ringing when I left!

Pros: Excellent food , Friendly staff

Cons: Very noisy ambience, Long wait to get a table

delicious!

Delicious food!

My friend and I had the buffalo cauliflower wrap and the neatball sub. Plus a smoothie. All really good and the fries were great too.

Our order got mixed up and it took the food over an hour to get to us, but luckily we were having a good time catching up. I'm not sure if it's always like this, I suspect the service is usually better.

Simply - "The best"

Have been eating vegetarian - vegan for over 30 years in Ottawa. Went to Pure Kitchen for the first time near the end of September, 2016. It's now my first choice overall in Ottawa for a special vegan/vegetarian meal, plus it comes with full service. Can't wait to go back.

Pros: Excellent food, Excellent service, Excellent value

Fantastic!

I visited Pure Kitchen on a date Saturday night. The place was packed, and we had to wait for a table - something I was not expecting from a vegetarian restaurant! The ambiance of the restaurant is beautiful - wooden furniture and very minimalist, calming decor. The tables are put at a cozy distance from one another, and there's a ''community table'' in the middle where I sat with my boyfriend. The service was very friendly and prompt, even while it was so busy, and the food was amazing! This was without question the best meal I've had since going vegan. Everything on the menu can be made vegan - some dishes include cheese, but have the option of cashew cheese or regular, and the burger buns have the option of being vegan or non.
