Amazing !! - Edit
Such a lovely selection of food I struggled to choose! My favourite was the croquettes but everything was incredibly flavourful. The staff and ambiance were lovely too.

Delicious - Edit
Loved it here, the staff were great and the food was delicious. I had the sea bass which was delicious wizardry.
Read moreOnly critiques were of the price and how mushroom focused everything was. Almost every alternative meat was a mushroom.
Also the street outside could do with some tlc but it is near central Bristol so not sure if that’s unrealistic.
If you want to open a place in the north-west we would welcome you with open arms! 😍

The food is so delicious. I have had the vegan chicken both times I have been because it was so goood but I would like to try the rest of their menu. I have taken meat eating friends both times and they have loved the lions mane steak and fake egg. The ambience of the restaurant is also lovely

Fantastic restaurant! We thoroughly enjoyed our experience here, where the food, staff, and ambience were all excellent.
Read moreFrom the creative menu, we had the Carne de Porco (pork and potato), Robalo Fumado (seabass), and Milho Frito (grilled corn), accompanied by a refreshing red sangria, though it could have been a bit stronger.
The Carne de Porco was amazing and not something we would normally order; the use of mushrooms to create those textures was simply stunning. The seabass was also delicious and well seasoned with a true taste of the sea, though the flakiness of the fish was slightly lacking. Still, it was super tasty, and the portion sizes were very generous. We also really enjoyed the grilled corn.
A delicious gin and raspberry cheesecake brought a perfect end to a lovely evening.
Pros: Great food, Staff, Ambience

Yummy dinner - Edit
I went to Plantuguese last week after seeing it pop up a lot on here and I'm very glad I did ... Yummy mains, mine was Bitoque and my old man had the Bife a casa both were made from Lions mane (my first ever!) And were very nice plus chips and sauces... Mine had a cheeky fake egg! We had some lovely Brazilian themed drinks and of course a tarte for pudd....They gave him a free one to take as was his bday. I'd def go back and try something non Lions mane.

Perfect - Edit
Went here with my husband for my birthday. He had the Bitoque (Lions Mane steak), and I had the carne de porco. I think mine was the best of the two options, but both were delicious. Mine was incredibly flavourful, and portion size was generous. The bits of "pork" were so meaty and tasty. I had a white wine and my husband had a green wine and both were very good. Finished up with custard tarts, which were unbelievably delicious. Warm and sweet and creamy. Yum! Staff were really lovely, too. Perfect!

Visited with my mum (vegan) and my grandma (not vegan). All three of us were really pleased with the meal, which is rare!
Read moreThoroughly enjoyed my peri-peri chicken: sauce had the right amount of heat, my chips were perfectly crispy, and the corn on the cob was perfect.
They had the sea bass and some Portuguese dish with cod and string potatoes. The latter was the most unique and a little bit oily for my tastes but my Mum loved it.
The pasteis de nata were absolutely fantastic- proper crispy pastry crusts.
All of the staff were also extremely sweet, calling us a taxi and then inviting us to sit down and serving us mint water when it got a bit delayed. Will definitely be back next time we're in Bristol.
Pros: Dishes were very enjoyable and something different, Pretty locale, Extremely friendly staff

Great food, delightful staff, and a menu packed with choice.
Read moreWe went for lunch and with service, a shared starter, main course, four drinks and pastel de nata paid £60.
Slight disappointment that they had run out of Lion's Mane mushroom after a very busy night before, but we still had plenty to choose from.
Highly recommended.
Pros: Lots of choice, Pastel de nata, Carne de porko
Cons: No Lion's Mane available :-(

So good!! - Edit
We got a Plantuguese takeaway from their old spot and thought it was great but not amazing - but ate at their new place last night and it was sooo good!! Their most popular dishes were sold out (always a good sign!) so we’ll have to go back to try those - but everything else we tried was delicious 🤤 and as always some of their amaaazing pastel de natas for the road (or pocket de natas as we like to call them) 💛

Unusual to see a vegan Portuguese restaurant. I didn't really know what Portuguese food was, but most dishes are fake seafood based.

Claims to be the UK’s only Portuguese fully vegan restaurant. The service and ambience of the restaurant is great: hospitality how it should be; friendly staff, attentive, useful! The flavours are great. I don’t know Portuguese food much but they have veganised them. On the whole the dishes are quite meaty in texture and heavy. All the drinks are completely vegan too.

Great food, service and atmosphere. We loved the jugs of sangria, the faux mangerie cheeses, we preferred the "pork" to the "beef" dishes, but both are good.

Just wow! - Edit
We were so excited to try this place and were not disappointed. We found it on Happy Cow on our visit to Bristol at the end of June. We rang ahead and spoke to Tiago on the phone and we were lucky that there was a table available for us at relatively short notice. Izzy showed us to our table and looked after us during our stay and was super helpful, friendly and genuinely excited for us to try out this place. The food was just incredible. We always liked tapas but since going vegan really missed things like croquettes and also Portuguese Natas! The croquettes were to die for and the drumsticks were also super yummy. We both had the Lions Mane Steak as a main course with different sauces and sides and it was incredible! The chips that come with it are also super nice. We sat at a table relatively close to the kitchen and were able to see some of the other dishes as well and everything looked fantastic. We had a quick chat with the chef Kit as well who was super friendly and excited for us try their Pastel de Natas from their desert section. A typical Portuguese custard tart which was super delicious. All in all we were so glad to be able to try this gem of a Vegan restaurant in the heart of Bristol. If we find ourselves in Bristol again we will definitely be back!
