I am being treated too good in this country

Dayuummmm! Plant Cafe just hits different in all the best ways. The environment is so beautiful and inviting with all of the plants (a rare thing beyond the cafe walls) and the DELICIOUS FOOD!!

I had a chocolate cake last night that was moist and fluffy and perfect. Today I came to visit for real and stayed for 6 hours taking classes, doing work, and eating such good food. I got the brownie, chai tea latte, African Stew (a new addition to the menu) and the Lentil and Bean Bowl.

The prices are relatively affordable with some more pricey dishes.

They also gave me some free oat milk to try 🥰

My friend calls this place her second home and it is well deserving of that title. I don’t want to leave!!

Everything was super flavorful and textures I never thought could be perfected. I WILL be coming again— there’s no doubt about that.

Pros: They have perfected their dishes and desserts , Beautiful and comfy environment , Friendly staff and WiFi!!

Cons: A more pricy restaurant for some items

Just the best :)

Can't believe I never reviewed Plant- it is one of my all time favorites and I have been a loyal regular for years now. It has such a wide selection of food and everything I've ever tried from there has been so good. The classic plant cheeseburger is definitely one of my favorite burgers ever. The wraps, salads and sandwiches are super fresh, filling and full of flavor. Baked goods are also excellent! Don't know that I've ever had a pie or cake that I wasn't crying over. Just so good. Love the pound cakes, cookies and those macaroons! Also the space is so nice to be in! So much greenery, spacious, lots of windows and light. Also the owner is so awesome. Just so many things to love about this place.

Amazing food

Even though it's been some years, I still remember the meal like it was yesterday. It was the burger and sparkling hibiscus ade of my life! If I ever go back to Seoul this would be the first restaurant I'd visit again!

Pros: Delicious food, Nice atmosphere, You gotta try the ade!

A Seoul staple!

My first impression was that this was just a typical vegan place but it really is consistently good! I’ve tried almost the entire menu and have also gone with nonvegans who enjoyed it very much. They have great specials on the holidays and it’s nice.

...hyped place in Itaewon

Plant is the ideal vegan cafe for those only seeking the generic American vegan cafe style. A varied menu and always have desserts. The rainbow tempeh wrap was my standard order here but it has been taken off menu. Too bad it always felt so fresh when eating. If new to Seoul then Plant is the reliable first stop... you will likely be back often if you want simple comfort food.

The hype around this place is mainly built on the past when there were few other choices. Nowadays we are spoiled for choice in Seoul. The food here is just ok. The desserts so-so, really hit or miss. Service is a bit mechanical now.

It is a safe option, just that. They are open reliable hours and usually find something decent.

Pros: comfort food for western tastes

Great place for burgers

The restaurant is nice and they have delicious burgers! If you are looking for American style food I recommend this place. The portions are big (I'm not complaining on the contrary). All the staff speaks English and it feels like not being in Korea anymore (well the restaurant is located in Itaewon ;))
We were there a second time to try out their cakes (also delicious and recommended). It is a bit expensive compared to other restaurants but still worth it.

Pros: Good burgers, Nice staff and atmosphere

Cons: Expensive (compared to local food)

So happy to have found this!

It was fully booked, however so nice to be here! We had the chili cheese burger and a sandwich with pulled "meat", a raspberry something drink and a milkshake. Definitely returning for some cake!
The staff was so nice and helpful and spoke very good English!

Pros: All vegan, no confusion

Cons: Fully booked on chuseok, how it must be on normal

Favourite vegan place in Korea!

This place was like my second home when I stayed in Seoul, pretty much tried everything on the menu!

I never actually stopped in Itaewon but Plant is very close to the subway station so it was always easily accessible and not too far away.

The restaurant was constantly busy which says alot and I did have to wait a few times for a table.. Not too long though and always worth the wait!

This place has a great vibe, always buzzing and super friendly staff!

The food is some of the best vegan food I've ever eaten anywhere in the world! Good mix of western and Asian foods. The cakes are to die for and they have great coffee as well.

I can't fault this place at all and since leaving Korea I believe they have opened another branch in Hongdae. Shame I didn't get chance to see it as I actually stayed there for a few weeks.

Hopefully I will return to Plant and Korea one day in the future!

Good Everything!!!

Plant Cafe is my favorite place to eat plant based in Seoul. I’ve been here a few times and it’s yet to do any wrong when it comes to the food. They have a vast variety of options from salads to burgers and everything in between. I’m a big fan of their cheesesteak because I t’s very flavorful, filling and appetizing. If your looking for something more on the healthier side they have great quality salad and wrap options. Desserts are a must try too. If your in Seoul and looking for a good plant base option make sure you stop by Plant Cafe!

Cute little cafe

I visited Plant back in October 2017. I had been following them for a few years on Instagram and couldn’t wait to try them when I went to Korea.

Ended up getting the tofu caesar wrap and plant cheeseburger. I wanted to love them both but they were alright, nothing amazing or memorable.

On the other hand, the desserts they had were great.

The cafe itself was really cute, airy, and brought in a lot of natural light.

Pros: Rotating menu, Vegan desserts, Friendly staff

Nice lunch, healthy options

Always happy to find places offering healthy options. There’s nothing I love more than finding a simple but fresh and well executed salad, a strong espresso and hydrating juice bar. As simple as that. This place did not fail on any level and I left feeling great.

My favorite place💗

Went to PLANT when I was doing my exchange semester. I went to the first location and had the soup, a smoothie and an amazing desert. I can not explain how happy I was since it was my first time going to a vegan restaurant in Seoul. Also got to meet some amazing people there.💗

Tasty food, nice Interior and staff!

I really love the food in Plant. I had never been in the same restaurant so often in such a short time as I was here.
They offer different salads, wraps, bowls, burgers and even pasta. All dishes are so colourful (perfect for photos, haha), tasty and full of nutrients. The combination of ingredients is well thought out and so worthwhile.

What I really liked were the special days. Like Taco Tuesday. They always had different taco variations and even made the supreme burrito as a taco. It wasn't on the menu anymore, but once as a taco. So it was the only way for me to try it!

If you are visiting Seoul only for a short time, I can recommend the Biryani Garden Bowl, the meatball sandwich or the Tempeh Rainbow Wrap. In general, all meatballs and tempeh strips are perfectly seasoned and oh my God, I don't know how they do it, but for you it's like an explosion of flavors in your mouth!

As for the cakes, they change daily depending on how quickly they are eaten. Chocolate cakes with or fruitier cakes They have everything. And they also offered a German cherry cake called 'Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte'.    I was very happy about that! 🍰

Even though I'm a chocolate type, I can recommend the pumpin cookie cake, orange chocolate cake (Jaffa Cake) and the coconut-passion fruit cake. Excuse me, if I don't remember the exact name anymore. 😅

Pros: Friendly staff, You get your food really fast, Delicous Food

Cons: A bit pricier

Really enjoyable lunch

At first I wasn't too sure about the portion size when my dish arrived, however I was proven wrong as I couldn't have eaten any more food. I got the mega burrito which was on its last day, so there will be new special now - but they still do the breakfast burrito! All I can add is that it wasn't spicy even though it was a Mexican style dish, so that's the one thing I'd like to add, but I guess for others maybe that's a welcome break from Korean spicy food.
I also had the chocolate peanut butter cake which was perfect.
My Americano, burrito, and cake cost around £15 in total which is fine for a meal out imo.

Pros: All vegan, Super friendly staff

Cons: Gets busy so things sell out , Could be more generous with burgers as no fries
