Pretty good - Edit
Served mostly western food. I had a mushroom burger ๐ and coconut cream pie. The burger came with homemade veggie patty (almost like black beans) layered with cream mushrooms. The size of the burger is like kids sized, very small for the price paid. Count cream pie was good. Will try other items on the menu.

Awful service - Edit
Closes at 10 and at 8:45 I am told kitchen will close at 9. Ok
Read moreMenu seems quite simple, ingredients wise as well very basic. Ok
Choose a bowl and they don't have it. Ok
Choose another one and I am told that they don't have the beans. Ok, what will you replace the beans with? "Nothing, you could add ingredients but we would charge you extra" ???
How can customer service be this bad? You don't have an ingredient that's easily replaceable by another, you want the client to pay and simply ingredients be missing and are not ready to offer a solution? Left as there are many other vegan places close by
Cons: Customer service

Yum yum yum - Edit
Delicious food - everything we tried was great - especially the moussaka and meatball rice bowl. We also had the chilli cheese burger, tofu with buffalo sauce and chilli cheese fries. We had way too much food, but everything was so good. Also great to find some local cider available - we tried two delicious flavours.

Go-to place in Seoul, very close to subway! - Edit
I absolutely love this restaurant. Iโve been in Seoul for a little over two weeks, and I think Iโve come here 4 times already. Itโs very close to the Itaewon subway station, so very convenient if you live near the subway! I have tried many different entrees, all have been great. My favorites are definitely the mushroom pasta (SO delicious and creamy!!), and the hummus tempeh bowl. But honestly, everything Iโve gotten has been great!
Read moreItโs very foreigner friendly, half the staff are not Korean and they all seem to speak English. They have a full English menu as well. If you are staying in Seoul you NEED to try this place out at least once!

This is a good place if you are looking for a vegan western restaurant with a lot a choices in a cosy room. We ordered the tempeh and hummus wrap, onion rings, tempeh, sweet potatoes, lemon cake and forest cake. We recommend the forest cake and the wrap!

One of the best vegan restaurants in Seoul! - Edit
This restaurant is so good that you could drop it in to pretty much any city in the world and it would do well. The food is packed full of flavour with generous portions and the coffee is lovely! The desserts are also amazing so definitely try and leave room for one (or more!).

Read moreBest 'fast food' in Seoul!!?
The chilli cheese fries are addictive it's like they put some special powder that makes your mouth water and want more and more, the wrap and burger are very good as well as the cauli wings it'd been too long.
The 'African peanut stew' is slightly diff to what I'm used to from this style with the cauliflower seeming like a different choice making it feel slightly more Indian potentially, as well as it not being nutty enough.
Good vibes and nice staff but deserts don't stick out or blow me away.
Would love if they did extravagant milkshakes (I miss them and I feel they'd fit perfectly here) .
Old review
They have nice filling tasty portions. I had the mushroom burger and the chilli cheese fries both very nice, very busy but staff were accommodating.

Went 3 times over a 10 day visit in Seoul. First place anyone in Seoul should seek out for vegan food. Great menu with lots of options, good amount of GF options. Chill vibes and even better food. Some of my favorites were the chili cheese fries, buffalo popcorn chickโn, and the mushroom burger. Great dessert as well with GF desserts.

The wraps are perfection: thick, juicy and stuffed with veggies and other awesome goodies. I had the 'steak and beans' and the humus wrap and couldn't decide which was better because they were both so damn good!

Must-visit place for fast-food lovers - Edit
This is a great cafรฉ! Any food you order there is top notch! At first, I visited the spot on the Itaewon and ordered Caesar wrap, fries and Pumpkin spice latte.
Read moreThe wrap was wonderful. Inside there were croutons, greens, nugget pieces and amazing dressing. And chips to boot.
Two other times I visited this cafรฉ in Yeonnam where I tried Chili cheeseburger, Falafel wrap and Spaghetti with ยซMeat ballsยป and everything was super delicious.
The staff at both cafes speak good English, so there are no problems with ordering and specifying ingredients if you need.

Good food, chill spot. - Edit
We ordered the mushroom burger with fries and the tofu caesar wrap. The mushroom burger had good taste but was impossible to eat with your hands as it fell apart - my partner had to use a knife and fork. The wrap was STUFFED, like a good wrap should be. Very happy with it. We had a side salad which was just leaves and a few seeds, so not really worth it. We were so full that we weren't able to try any of the delicious looking desserts, sadly!

So reliable - Edit
I love this place. One of the only spots in Seoul where you can get good vegan savory food. My fave is the spaghetti and meatballs. But their sandwiches are great too. Wonderful matcha latte. Also custom ordered my birthday cake here and it was SO cute

Overrated - food used to be good a few years back - Edit
Ive been disappointed with the food at this place. The tofu wrap has no tofu on one half and they had to give us tofu on a plate. The ratatouille is just tomato paste from a can and some veggies. There was no flavor on the ratatouille. They need to update the menu and come up with tasty options. Did I mention that theyโre on the pricey side? I made a similar post on ig and they restricted my account so they are aware that the food is mediocre. I really hope they revamp their menu and become one of the best vegan restaurant in Seoul again.

My place to go in Itaewon - Edit
Itaewon has a street with six (!) vegan restaurants in it, which is absolutely unique in Seoul. Plant Cafe & Kitchen was the first one I tried in Itaewon and it turned out to be my to go place. I loved the peaceful atmosphere, the staff, the spacious seating and the varied menu. The Plant Cafe serves burgers, salads, curry, stew, cake and more.
Read moreBased on the review of another Happy Cow user I first tried the "African peanut stew" and it was delicious. Rich in taste, varied in vegetables, high in protein and low in price (your exchange rate may vary, but if you exchange euro for won, you're a rich person in Korea right now). The butter beans and pumpkin rice dish is just as good and filling, perfect for winter. I also tried one of the wraps, but I couldn't finish the whole thing and had to ask for a doggy bag (upon which the staff told me they also can't finish the entire wrap).
The matcha latte and smoothies are also very good. Add to this the low price, ample seating and you'll understand why Plant Cafe & Kitchen became my to go place in Itaewon.

The staff here was phenomenally friendly.
Read moreI tried to pick something to eat that I don't see often back home, and so ended up with the African Peanut Stew, which was legitimately delicious. Rich flavor, lots of veggies and protein. 10/10 would order again.
The menu is very Western, which is not a knock, but if you are only here for a short visit and are looking for vegan versions of Korean food, there are other places really close by that will scratch that itch. If you want healthy, vegan Western style food, make sure to eat it here.
