Lovely Pho - Edit
Super tasty, had the tofu rolls and vegetarian pho (its listed as "Vegetable Noodle Soup"). Great meal for a chilly spring day.

Fast! - Edit
Took a chance stopping in here before going to the airport. I ordered an appetizer and an entree - both came out super fast! The food was tasty and the price was right. I love when I find a place that offers soup made with veggie broth.

Disappointing - Edit
While this place has vegan options, they seemed kind of limited. I had the pho with tofu and vegetables. The tofu was cold and tasted stale, the vegetables were semi-raw and unpleasant to eat. The broth was nice, but I had better. Despite ordering the large portion, I found that the portion was not big enough - the plate I got was mostly broth, and not enough noodles, tofu and vegetables (the things that will make you full).

Cons: Food quality is not as good, Vegan options are limited, Portion size is small

Veg-friendly Pho! - Edit
Pho is rarely vegan unless the restaurant goes out of its way to make veg pho. There are so many pho places in the DC metro area, that it's only a small percentage that have veg pho. Many will have a pho with vegetables, but unless they tell you the broth is veg, it is not a veg pho!
Read moreWell, take heart here in Rockville for some quality veg pho! The broth is all vegan. The pho is all vegan. They have summer and spring rolls - all vegan. There is also a Buddha bowl with vermicelli that is all vegan. So good! It is not soy free, but all of this is rice-based. If you're concerned for gluten, though, they probably use soy sauce, so be careful of that.
Anyhow, the pho is legit. The look of the place is deceiving. It looks like a bare bones cafeteria style eatery, but really, it's more of the streamlined let's fit in a lot of people because it's cheap and good food approach. If you don't want to sit and eat in the restaurant, order it to go. They know how to package it smartly so that nothing spills or gets soggy!
The food is filling and satisfying. Nothing skimpy; you will be full after eating an order of pho or the vermicelli Buddha bowl. Good stuff. I like this place. I do wish they had more veggies, as it really is quite carb-heavy, but, it's ok, once in a while!
Pros: Vegan pho, Vegan vermicelli, Summer rolls
Cons: Serves meat, Needs more veggie dishes

Great veg pho! - Edit
This place is in the location that Vegetable Garden occupied for several years. While I was sad to lose an all-vegetarian restaurant, I was happy to see that Pho Eatery has vegetarian pho. It had has been years since I've had pho and it was really really good. It came with the classic side plate of bean sprouts, basil and jalapeno. The noodle soup came with carrots, celery and broccoli. A little too much in my opinion, though my husband liked it. We also tried the crispy veggie rolls, which were also good.

Pros: very tasty, casual, quick
