Organic Excellence…! - Edit
When we were in Lisbon, we couldn’t resist checking out the vegan spots on Happy Cow. One of the top-rated restaurants we found was Organi Chiado, which is just a short walk from our place in the Bairro-Alto. So, we decided to go for lunch and see what all the fuss was about!
Read moreThe place was already packed when we got there, but the inside had a cool, sophisticated vibe. Our server was super friendly and attentive. Of course, all that sightseeing had made us thirsty, so we started with a couple of super cold Super Bocks.
For our main course, we shared an appetizer of bread and pâtés. Oh my gosh, the spreads were amazing! There were three different ones: Basil Tofu, Olives-Walnut, and Peanut Butter-Apple. All of them were delicious, but the Basil Tofu was my favorite. It was so refreshing and smooth, and it was unlike anything I’d ever tasted before — not made out of tofu, anyway.
Organi Chiado has two different specials that change (I believe) every day, and on our first visit, we both couldn’t resist the Braised Tofu (served with lime rice, a side salad, and tempura veggie crisp). It was incredible! Hands down, the best food we’d had up to that point. And the prices were surprisingly reasonable, considering how fancy the place was.
We left feeling totally satisfied and made a mental note to come back to Chiado Organi soon. But guess what? The very next day, we went to another vegan restaurant that was a total disaster. We were so hungry and disappointed that we ran straight back to Organi to save the day! (This time around, again, we shared a larger order of the bread and pâtés; I did cheesy penne pasta; Jay the lasagna. And, too, we shared a pecan pie with house-made ice cream. O.M.G…!!!) And not only did it save us, but we also got to catch up with our friend from the day before, which was really nice.
Simply awesome!!!
Pros: Food!!!, Service!!!, Anbiance!!!
Cons: Loved it ALL…!!!

Very cute place in central Lisbon. You can eat inside and outside on a terrace when the weather allows it.
Read moreHad the pâtés as starter (fantastic), the Césars „chicken“ salad as main dish (very good) and the no cheesecake for dessert (excellent).

Favourite vegan spot in Lisbon - Edit
Out of all the vegan spots we went to, this one was our favourite. I’m not usually a fan of salads so I was a bit unsure about choosing one but WOW, it just made me wish all salads tasted like that. The tofu was perfect, as were the little bread pieces and all the cheese, sauce and veggies tasted so lovely and all the textures blended in perfectly. It felt so fresh and it was just amazing! We had their pate and cheese for starters and that was divine as well! Couldn’t recommend this place more!

I had the veggie burger which does not come with a bun. It was delicious. The main con of this restaurant was its small menu.

Delicious lasagna! - Edit
Really good vegan lasagna! Also nicely served and reasonably priced. Friendly staff. I had a pecan pie for dessert, which was just average and definitely overpriced.

Best restaurant in Lisbon - Edit
The food was perfect. The menu varies every day, we had marinated tofu with rice, sweet potato puree and salad. The tofu was grilled and marinated in a very good sauce (can't recall what it was, but it was good). The salad was very tasty.

I had the caesar salad and it was amazing! The tofu had the best texture. The croutons could’ve been even crispier but they were good anyway!

Tourist attraction in lisbon is baixa chiado another option for vegan /veg food, staff speak english , food is ok... cheese cake can be done better. More or less food comparison pricing a bit high...i think so

Good - Edit
Options are a little limited but still good. Would tend to agree with previous reviewer- perhaps over hyped. Had lentil curry which was nice - ask for chilli sauce which gives it the lift it needs! Pate starter was average and I didn’t like 2 of the 3 options - walnut was okay, the other 2 were not that tastey. Bread nice. Pecan tart excellent- not too sweet and I say that as someone who doesn’t really do sweet, sticky desserts, but this was really excellent!
