Slightly disappointed - Edit
Their menu sounds very fancy and it kind of overwhelmed me with what to choose. Decided on the tofu katsu and was sadly dissatisfied with it. The purple sauce underneath the quinoa made the whole dish quite soggy and the tofu was nothing out of this world.

Delicious food, cool concept - Edit
Loved the food here. They pickle, ferment and preserve everything themselves. Their dishes feel healthy-ish, low processed foods with lots of vegetables. The highlights of our meal were the delicious homemade tempeh, their kombucha and the miso butter. I highly recommend eating here.

Genuine passion for their craft - Edit
Genuine, fresh, passionate... This restaurant boasts an array of Asian inspired dishes using homemade fermented foods that are high concept, but very affordable.
Read moreEvery dish we ate employed the fermented products as the star of the show. The dishes felt healthy but bold and flavourful. The staff was charming and sweet.
Extremely recommended.

Special vegan menu - Edit
We had different starters and the Gado Gado (amazing tempeh), and could taste the wine before ordering. The food was very good and we enjoyed the evening.

Delicious Vegan Food with a Great Atmosphere - Edit
This place was so romantic! With low lighting and candles at every table. We drank delicious mocktails and cocktails and had meaningful conversations in a private area that seemed just for us! The food was also divine and out of all the places we visited I really wish I could go here again! See more of this restaurant and their food on my YouTube channel Deanna Troy Travels in my video "Vegan Food in Lisbon, Portugal" https://youtu.be/MvBiBk8OrJk

O GambuziNO - Edit
I was very excited to go there, because of the very positive 5 stars valuations here, but it’s not worth the hype unfortunately. We ordered the Tofu Katsu and Pica Pau (which we never got, well we would have but after we had the main and got the bill). The Tofu Katsu was described as followed: local organic tofu marinated in acorean black tea, panko battered with a brandy and black tea reduction, Portuguese quinoa with nuts, Pak Choi, grapefruit, purple cabbage & orange juice….well very fancy words for just fried tofu with Quinoa in purple sauce with two cauliflower pieces and one piece of grapefruit…

This food is ART - Edit
I got a vegan bibimbap and my friend got a tofu katsu. The bibimbap had a fake egg yolk, which I’ve never had before and I am quite disgusted by eggs (even vegan ones), but it was so good! My friend loved her katsu, and said it was perfectly crispy. We are both chai tea lovers and were BLOWN away by the chai masala cheesecake.

Mildly Disappointing - Edit
While I did overall enjoy my meal here I was actually disappointed with the flavors of my meal. Got the bread, gazpacho, scallops, tofu main dish, and a banana caramel dessert and honestly the dessert was the only thing that really had a lot of flavor and I could see myself really wanting again. Presentation was great and good staff. There just weren’t any strong flavors and overall a mildly disappointing meal. Wouldn’t recommend against going there but don’t think it’s a must

Tasty & interesting variety of dishes - Edit
Excellent vegan food, beautifully presented. Cosy venue, good service & reasonable prices. It was lovely to go out for a proper 3 course dinner where thought has gone into each course. We had king oyster mushrooms with celeriac purée, radish & dill oil for starters, and the rice flour fried cauliflower. Home made black bean tempeh gado gado with plantain for main. Panna cotta with poached pear & pistachio for dessert. Everything was delicious! Highly recommend!

Best gazpacho ever - Edit
This place impressed all my non vegan friends. They all loved the food! My favorite was the gazpacho. So delicious and made with care and love. This is art! The staff is very friendly. If you are in Lisbon you must give it a try. The banofee dessert is to dye for!

Great place for drinks and starters - Edit
If you are looking for great drinks, cocktails and delicious starters you won't be disappointed ! This place is worth every penny ! Regarding the main dish, I had the Xerem do mar, it was good but I thought the celery root wasn't the right choice for this preparation. The celery root was very sour and I couldn't appreciate completely the others flavours. Another issue it's some tables are on the path of the bathroom and it's very inconvenient ! ( Don't take the table number 1 !)

World Class Vegan - Edit
This tour de force of vegan fare of the world was truly something to behold. Their fusion of flavors and dishes from all over the world, but somehow still keeping their Portuguese roots is something I had never seen before in a fusion style restaurant. I sat facing the kitchen and watched the chefs attention to detail in each plate which made for a magical evening. This restaurant seems to have all staff really caring about their food and is also very knowledgeable. When I read the one review stating this is the BEST vegan food they’ve had after eating at so many vegan restaurants, they’re not lying. Do not miss this restaurant if you’re in Lisbon. (I would also recommend reservations if you going with a larger group because it’s a very initiate space)

The most exciting menu I've encountered in a long time - Edit
Top-tier vegan dining. We only managed to sample a few of Lisbon's vegan restaurants in our short stay, and they were all good; but O Gambuzino was the best of the bunch by some margin.

Underwhelming - Edit
Cocktail of the day - very pretty, the cucumber taste overpowered the rest of the flavors.
Read moreCouve-flor Gochujang -- aka Cauliflower. Tasted good but it was too hard/crispy on the outside making it hard to cut and eat.
Bibimbap - it was fine, no more no less.
Tofu Katsu - the tofu itself is great...everything surrounding it not so much. The sauce is very strange and the dish would be better not completely drenched in it.
Based on all the raving reviews we expected something much better.
46€ including water.
Pros: Waiters know English
Cons: A bit pricey compared to the quality of the food, A bit pricey compared to other places we've been
