Mildreds, established since 1988, operates several restaurants in London. Its changing menu offers British classics as well fusion meals, with example dishes like mushroom pie, Indian curry, lentil burger, tortilla chips and gucamole, burger with fries, waffles, and a vegan brownie with ice cream. Fully vegan as of Jul 2021. This branch has a spacious open kitchen layout and is in the student quarter of Kings Cross. Narrow wheelchair access. Cashless. Open Mon-Sat 09:00-23:00, Sun 09:00-22:00.

Never been disappointed at any of the branches of Mildred’s! Food is always delicious and super consistent across the different sites - King’s Cross being no different! Could do with more gluten free options,and some recently removed from the menu (chickn kebabs pictured no longer GF), though the ones they have are incredible. Lovely staff, great with allergens. Would always recommend Mildred’s to anyone visiting London.

I had heard and read many great things about this place and my visit certainly didn't disappoint.
Read moreI arrived without a reservation but the lovely staff kindly accommodated me before giving me ample time to choose my order from the creative menu. In the end I decided upon the sweet potato and leek tortellini with porcini cream, which was perfectly cooked, stunningly flavourful and beautifully presented. The porcini cream especially, was divine. I also ordered a deliciously refreshing fig, tamarind and mint tea.
What I also liked about my visit was how staff checked for any allergies and how relaxing the whole atmosphere was. I'll definitely be visiting again.

We were lucky to grab an online reservation on a Sunday evening at short notice. It was so hard to decide what to have from the menu, so many creative vegan dishes. It was really busy and staff were great but seemed quite swamped so I'd allow plenty of time for your sitting; we had a theatre show to make which was a bit stressful but we made it in good time!

I have long been a fan of mildreds. I forced by husband to go when we were just curious vegans and we've been huge fans ever since! Over the years we've been visiting, the food has just gotten better. I just wish they'd open some branches outside London (like Edinburgh, hint, hint)

I quite enjoyed my meal - tempeh balls with a savoury broth, noodles, shiitake, and pak choi. On the negative side: the restaurant is noisy, the prices are high, and the bill comes with an "optional service tax" included (I realised this the second my card was on the machine).

Food was great, Mildred’s definitely know what they’re doing for an affordable yet fine dining experience for vegans. The staff members were very keen to get us to leave after an hour and a half even though the food took a while which is why I’ve removed one star, but the food is top notch.
