Mildreds, established since 1988, operates several restaurants in London. Read moreGreat choice! Menu is varied and all plant based. It is very popular and packed at 6.30 on a Tuesday. The food was really tasty … lots of flavours and textures. The service is really switched on and energetic without any sense of being rushed. Simply enough people to be able to deliver attentiveness.

The menu is sort of a greatest hits of vegan dishes from around the world. I'm not sure you would be best-served trying to throw together a coherent ethnic meal, but that's not the idea. Had a lovely meal of small plates plus a couple of mains with a couple of carafes to help us along.

My companions had the padrón peppers & the salt & pepper tofu bokkeumbap which both said was delicious.
