Located on B1F of the Elite Inn Kyoto Station hotel. 10 mins walk from JR Kyoto Station. Open Mon 8:30am-5:00pm, 6:00pm-10:00pm, Wed-Thu 8:30am-5:00pm, 6:00pm-10:00pm, Fri 8:30am-10:00pm, Sat-Sun 8:30am-5:00pm, 6:00pm-10:00pm. Closed Mon, Tue & public holidays. Last order taken at 9:00 pm.

My wife and I ate lunch here today. I had the set lunch, which was delicious, filling and great value. My wife had the main course salad and a rose hip tea, which she loved.

This was a nice vibe but very slow service and small portion sizes. Nice tasting food, a lot of the options had already sold out before we had got there.

Was there for during lunch, the lunch special was very worth it. Good amount of food, nice miso, and the desert was perfectly balanced between sweetness of the syrup and the matcha pudding! Amazed, will eat there more

-Sweet and Sour Cauliflower: really nice, better than I thought it would be.
-Egg sandwich: I love the “egg” mix, not a fan of the white bread it’s served in. I wish they did an egg salad with this exact mix and without the bread.
-Gimbap: really nice and fresh, I just don’t get the oil around the nori, could do without it. Other than that, I loved it.
-Set of 3 sushi tacos (forgot the name): not a fan. I don’t think the 3 toppings worked well tbh. This was my least favourite.

Great dinner, very friendly staff and tasty vegan food. We had the vegan egg sandwich, sweet and sour cauliflower (must try these), the three sushi (not a favourite tbh) and the kimbap which were delicious.

The food was nice, but we got the impression that the staff was a bit inexperienced and stressed about the sudden influx of customers. They were kind, so nothing wrong with their behaviour against us! However, I sensed that there was misscommunication between the waitresses. E.g. it took some a while before our drinks were served. In my humble opinion, I would advice the owner to improve on their teamwork and communication! Overall, it's allright, but room for improvement.

We loved the cold noodles and tantan ramen! The server (perhaps the owner?) chatted with us about where we were from and what she recommended. She was wonderful. Google wouldn’t let me leave a review because they’d had “suspiciously high ratings” but honestly I think people just love this place.

Everything tasted fresh, fried 'chicken' (seitan I think) was crisp, juicy, and flavourful. Pudding pots were creamy and sweet. Could take orders in English.

Everything was delicious. I opted for the morning menu, where you can get smaller portions for a really good price. Honestly, everything was sooo good! I really have nothing bad to say about the quality or the taste.
Read moreI had already tried the “egg” sando at the MERCY in Osaka, and it’s still the best one I’ve had so far, 5 stars. The curry was also really good, and the fruit sando too.
It is located in the basement floor of the building so there is no natural light there.
I truly recommend this restaurant if you’re in Kyoto !

Everything was very delicious. The vegan egg sandwiches are the best I’ve ever had — the best egg substitute I’ve tried so far. However, the price is quite high considering the portion sizes. Sometimes I think the high-quality food is worth the price, but overall, I still feel it could be a little cheaper.

This restaurant is not actually at Kyoto station, though it is close. You go down some stairs to get to the restaurant itself. There is a lunch and dinner menu, though they let us order from the lunch menu for dinner. It was a variety, including simba, fried kuruma (a very tasted wheat gluten product), salad, and potato salad. For dessert I tried the sweet potato pudding. It was a good texture, very lightly sweetened, with a mild sweet potato flavor.

Mercy is a chain, but still feel very local and cute. They have a wide range of vegan options in their menu, including set menus. It’s a good overall experience, but my favorites were the «egg» sandwiches outside of the set menu. It’s slightly expensive compared to other places.
