A lovely place - Edit
I think I arrived at a bad time, when their lunch time was ending. Apparently I had their last sandwich which was filled with soy meat and vegetables. It was okay, nothing special but not bad either. I also had a piece of cookie dough cake, very tasty! The chocolate part was a bit heavy to my taste, but otherwise the flavors were good. Also, the atmosphere was very nice.

Traditional Latvian cake - Edit
I guess this is a great vegan restaurant, but for me the food was way too heavy and oily. But Heavy or not, the Latvian cheesecake was excellent!

Lecker frisch zubereitete Gerichte - Edit

Great vegan options - Edit
I ordered the soy schnitzel. The portion is enough for 2 people if you arent massively hungry. I also got the honey cake (not pictured). They have a lot of options. Plus it passed the vibe check.

Amazing vegan food - Edit
Awesome place! Pretty sure their lunch options change every day, but they also sell various options of sandwiches, cakes, pastries, desserts, etc. The cakes me and my mom tried for dessert were so delicious! Food came out very quickly, staff was kind and the atmosphere itself was really nice and enjoyable. There’s seating both inside and outside for sunny days. I will definitely return here 😊💗

Vegan Latvian food - hit or miss - Edit
During our trip through the Baltics, it became clear that Riga would be the most difficult city to find vegan food in, especially food that mimics some of the local cuisine. I’m not sure why this is, but I would really recommend eating outside of the old town for this reason.
Read moreSeveral online forums said that Mazā Terapija was one of the few places to experience a vegan twist on Latvian food. This is true for a few dishes, with the rest of the menu comprising standard vegan cafe fare.
For starters, the carrot salmon was amazing! As someone who used to love seafood, I am not sure how they were able to so closely mimic the taste. Truly one of the best things I ate on this trip.
However, we were less impressed by the main dishes. The schnitzel was a bit too heavy (way too much cheese), and the meat substitute wasn’t my favorite. I could only eat a few bites, and I mostly just ate the potatoes and side salad (which were delicious). For the flagship dish, I was hoping for more. My boyfriend said his tofu burger was just okay and not all that crispy. I hope we just ordered wrong, and I would definitely come back to try other dishes especially for the low price and generous portion sizes.

Lunch combo - Edit
Cute little cafe offering fresh, vegan options including sandwiches, soups, drinks and desserts. It looks like their menu offerings rotate. I got the lunch combo that included a soup and sandwich and I also tried one of the chocolate cakes. Everything was good and takeaway service was quick.

First Latvian cuisine approach - Edit
Just landed in Riga i went straight to this place. Although it was late (16pm) we could have lunch and the service was quick. We had the “mushroom risotto”, with an slightly coconut flavour, and the “soy Schnitzel” which it was a very complete dish. We also had a white wine glass and the total was 25€, which i found very affordable.

Lovely little cafe - Edit
I stopped here for a quick and carby breakfast. There are lots of sweet and savory pastries to choose from... I got a cheese burek, something like a sausage roll, and a slice of Napoleon cake for dessert. Everything was really good, but I would have liked for the savory pastries to be served warm.

Delicious ramen! - Edit
The food was amazing, highly recommend their ramen. Potatoes were good too. I also enjoyed their drinks/coffee. Their sweets did look delicious and there were so many options! Only thing was that I didn’t think the place was very cosy.

Great choice! - Edit
Great place for vegan food! We spoilt Berliners were here twice during our stay in Riga and had a.o. solyanka, the herringless bowl made with aubergine and algae, the Caesar's salad, the schnitzel (which was more like a cheese-topped steak), and different cakes, and all of them were really, really good 💖
Read moreI'd most recommend the Cesar's salad, the tiramisu and anything fish-less, but you can't go wrong with anything here! Also, super friendly staff and the place itself is quite cute, too. We'll make sure to return to this lovely little place when we come back to Riga.

After some mixed experiences at other places, I finally found vegan paradise in Riga. This place got it all, a wide choice of purely vegan soups, mains, snacks, sandwiches, an extensive choice of cake and great coffee, all set it a very comfy atmosphere with chill music.
