Much better than Maoz in Paris - Edit
I was hesitant to try this place because the one near Notre Dame was not a good experience for me. This was much much better! I like that you can easily select your own toppings and how much and even refill if you want. Great value for Amsterdam

Good falafel - Edit
Normally I opt not to get falafel as it's dry and sad, but this was good! Cheap and a good sized portion

Nice Pitt But Bad Fries - Edit
Loved the fresh falaffel and Good Bread. Really many sauces to choose and also a really big salad buffet for a fast food store. Fries werent good But Doesnt matter because you Should Focus on the Pizza anyway

A fantastic suprise - Edit
Not the most photogenic food, came on expecting nothing but was extreemly suprised, you pick a pita and or a salad with a main ingredient and then add whatever you want from a tasty saladbar.

Cheap and good - Edit
Good pita and falafel for just 5€. The best thing is that you can refill your pita. I highly recommend it!

Not bad but why being difficult? - Edit
First time I was there I asked for pita with falafel. The pita was half closed so I could only fit a small amount of salads in it. The second time i asked for a bowl with falafel pita on the side but they don't sell pitas separately... I received the bowl with ... 3 falafel balls which seriously is pathetic, so overall I'm not a happy puppy.

It's okay if you're in a rush - Edit
This is a chain that I've also encountered in Barcelona, the one here didn't have anything other than falafel for the base, toppings are solid, they don't have seats inside so don't expect to sit if you come here

Good place to refuel - Edit
A great place to go if you're hungry and don't necessarily want fast food. I love the salad bar. They could do with adding a few more falafels to a serving (I got 3) Had a great sit with a view to people watch

Great food, great prices! - Edit
I have been to Maoz Vegan three times now and I have not been disappointed. They have great pita’s at affordable prices. My only concern is with the salad bar and the hygiene of the toppings and fillings due to it being open for all the customers to use.

I would take falafel over eggplant next time but the eggplant is fun for a change. The white eggplant pickled in red beet juice and vinegar is sooo good.

Fast & Tasty - Edit
The food was very good. When you choose the pita you have several options of fillings and toppings to choose from and you can fill the pita yourself. The fries are also very good. It‘s a great concept!

Good falafel and one of the cheapest options around - Edit
Six euro gets you either a salad bowl or pita with four falafel. You order, pay, sit down while they finish frying the falafel and put it in your bowl or salad, then you get up, grab it, and cram in as many veggies and sauces as you can possibly fit. Assuming you're skilled in the art of veggie stuffing, you can get a pretty decent size serving, which makes it one of the cheapest vegan meals you'll find in downtown.
Read moreThe falafel themselves are better than you'd expect from a fast food chain, and if you get them right out of the fryer they're fantastic. The pita has good chew and tasted pretty fresh, which is always nice, and the sauces help make the veggies a bit more interesting.
Staff are cold, but I didn't encounter any rudeness like other reviewers did.

Great falafel, but rude employees - Edit
Really tasty falafel with many toppings to choose from. Only downside is the people who work there. They don't really seem to help you and aren't friendly.

Nice - Edit
Great for a quick bite. Their falafel pita was absolutely delicious. They give you the pita, add optional hummus, the falafel and then you get to add greens and vegetables yourself. It makes for a bit of an awkward experience, but the end result is amazing.

Ridiculously small... but RIDICULOUSLY good - Edit
Great, affordable choice in a busy district of Amsterdam. You can add a variety of toppings to your food. Should not miss! The only "downside" of this branch is the size. It is so small in there with no toilets. This can be annoying in colder months but that being said, this place is quick, healthy and amazing value.

decent falafel, rude staff - Edit
employees and owner/manager just seem eternally pissed at everything. Requires you to wear gloves while using their salad bar and hyper focuses on every action of the customer. Not worth going back to for unpleasant service.
