Fancy, tasty… But maybe not worth the hype? - Edit
You cannot say the food isn’t good! I went with 2 omnivores, as the restaurant had been suggested by a couple of friends living in Paris (who eat meat too). The lion’s mane was amazing, the sauce in the asparagus starter was surprising and the risotto was very creamy. We didn’t leave hungry. Having said that, I didn’t find the menu super remarkable and it didn’t exceed my expectations. Yes, the staff is friendly; yes, the location is cool; and yes, they pay attention to seasonal ingredients… But is it worth the price tag? Not 100%. But overall, a nice experience and there’s room for improvement! Keep going 💪

High quality but expensive and not very original - Edit
Maori offers high-quality cuisine in a very pleasant setting. We tried a good portion of the dinner menu: an excellent vegetable tartare, a creative take on guacamole with peas, an asparagus risotto (very good), a mushroom dish, and a cream cookie for dessert. Everything was good but quite expensive, even by Paris standards, given the small portions and the lack of originality in some dishes. Worth trying if you’re in the area, but don’t necessarily go out of your way across Paris just to try it.

Hype me not - Edit
Visited 13th of March, 2026. Found on IG.
Read moreAs one of the highlights of our Paris trip, we had high expectations.
You can't say they were met.
We had booked a table and showed up in time.
The staff was inattentive. Didn't check on us.
The food was bland, and lacked salt.
As we've encountered in Paris before, no salt and pepper on the table.
What I liked the least however, was that my food was lukewarm, at it's best.
When I pointed it out for the staff, we were offered a 10% discount on the bill.
On top of this, the prices are high in comparison with other restaurants.
We spent 76 € for two people. Without desserts.
- Spicy caulikiss (fried cauliflower and spicy mayonnaise) 7 €
- Haiku ramen (pan-fried ramen noodles, vaucluse asparagus, with sesame, plant-based cream & mizuna leaves) 19 €
- Malgret lui (soy-glazed roasted celeriac, "magret style", sweet potato purée, combava zest & maple-gochujang sauce) 23 €
- Verre blanc chardonnay 18 €
- Thé Culotté (gin, pear liqueur, aperol, bergamot, black tea, lemon & ginger juice) 13 €
I'm not one to complain often (this is my only negative review out of ~70 on HC so far) - but this just wasn't a pleasant experience.

Way too expensive for unoriginal, mid dishes. - Edit
Subpar, simple dishes which definitely aren’t worth the expensive price tag. It’s one of those performative, superficial locations betting on aesthetics & hype.

Cute vegan restaurant - Edit
I had the onion soup wich was phenomenal!! The cheese tasted just like ,normal‘ cheese and the cheese pull was insane.
Read moreAs main course I had the celery ,duck‘ and it was okay, could have been more spiced up and the mashed potato could be creamier.
But all in all it was a great dinner with nice drinks!

Good experience but there is a but - Edit
We tried the lunch formula, including two fried starters and two first courses. While we appreciated the mayonnaise, the crust on the fried mushrooms was very thick and hard to eat. The curry rice was very salty and not very enjoyable.

Pros: Desserts excellents : Mille Fleurs, Mont Blanc.. , Le wrapita Trufflegar < 3, Lieux apaisant beau et calme

To be improved - Edit
Restaurant is nice and people are extra nice but is seems to leak a bit of organisation. The food is on the expensive budget and i was expecting more. It is very beautifully arranged but missing taste and proteins. The food is unuasual but could be better. There is not much food is the plate so we ended up to ask for more food. I got that it is the idea for "gastronomic" but the taste need to follow up. I hope it will be improved in the future as they are not open for so long.

C’est la première fois que je venais et bonne découverte !

J’ai également goûté le spicy mule, qui est également très bon.
J’aurais juste mis un peu plus de propositions de cocktails sans alcool, car certains alcoolisés avaient l’air sympa !

Tasty but pricey fine dining - Edit
We went there for the lion’s mane but they were out of the mushroom :(
Read moreSo we had the “Noix de pierre paul jacques” wich is marinated eryngii mushroom with algae caviar on a bed of beetroot purée with sweet potatoes and a “Le To Fou” which is 4 mini halves of tofu sandwich with a spinach salad. The noix de pierre tasted great, very deep umami flavor, only downside was the size of it. The sandwiches were dry and had not the egg-kalanamat taste promised, also no veggie bacon as stated in the menu; but the sweet potato fries were delicious, some of the best we’ve ever had! The salad had a great dressing, but was also very small. Place looks amazing, ceiling has a mirror-like appearance with led lights that brings a sci-fi flair while right in the center of the ground there’s a bonsai re-centering the whole area to earthly vibes. Really cool looking.
For drinking we had the hibiscus and peach tea and the lemon and yuzu tea, wich were delicious.

Delicious and interesting dishes in a cute restaurant - Edit
This is a cute little restaurant with a simple but pretty decor and a nice open feel with windows running down two sides of it and a mirror on the ceiling.
Read moreThe menu was interesting with a variety of creative dishes. For starters we went for all 3 of the gyoza options - Mr Bean, Mr White and Mr Truffle. All three were delicious, packed with fillings and lovely and crispy. I particularly enjoyed the flavour of the feta sauce with the Mr White gyoza but they were all excellent!
For our mains we went for the Trufflegar Club Sandwich and the Laughing Tiger. The Trufflegar sandwich was so good! It was flavoursome, fresh and came with perfectly done sweet potato fries – crispy coating with a soft fluffy interior. Sweet potato fries are so often done wrong but these were perfect!
The Laughing Tiger was also delicious! The lion's mane mushroom was tender and marinated in sauce which gave it a delicious rich flavour. The rice was plain which balanced perfectly with the richness of the mushroom.
For dessert we went for the Pain Perdu and Mont-Blanc Fuji. Again they were both really good! The Pain Perdu consisted of caramel soaked toast which had a delicious rich flavour and moist texture, and came with a sweet vanilla ice cream which balanced it out perfectly. The Mont-Blanc Fuji was also really good, although I preferred the Pain Perdu.
I also had a Litchi Martini which was really tasty with a sweet, fresh flavour.
Pros: Delicious food, Pretty decor, Creative menu

Great dining spot - Edit
I really enjoyed my dining experience here.
Read moreIt's so great to find dishes which are different than what you usually get in Paris.
For instance, they use lion's mane mushroom for the "Le Tigre qui Rit" plate; and the "sando" (japanese-inspired sandwich) are also rather different from you regular sandwich.
The mont-blanc and pain perdu for dessert were also wonderful.
Will definitely come back to try other dishes!
Pros: yummy, original, friendly service
