I didn't even see the upstairs but I did enjoy the food alot: I had gringas, sort tortilla in the form of a quesadilla filled with tasty goodness (some chorizo stuff), and a torta.
Read moreThe location connections to a sort of yoga studio and hindu temple so plenty of shanti vibes were radiating. The service is individualized which meant that it was not a fast food experience but I'm on vacation so it gave me more time to chat with the other interesting and friendly people there!

Stopped here for a quick late lunch and quite enjoyed it! Everything tasted great - very well flavored and seasoned. I would definitely go back. Loved that the restaurant was 100% vegan and the staff were all very friendly and helpful.
Read moreThe downstairs area was only serving snacks so we went upstairs to enjoy the menu of the day that included a beet salad, lentil soup, quinoa broccoli & a tofu scramble with various peppers and a plantain dessert. Oh and it included a tasty water of the day: strawberry.
It was $100 pesos/person, we just sat down and they brought us each of the dishes, timed perfectly with when we were finishing the existing course.
Pros: Great flavors and seasoning, very tasty, Convenient, cheap, meal of the day

EDIT: Wound up returning here and getting the tofu burrito with vegan queso. Way way better, so I’m bumping my review up. Old review still below.

Unfortunately the torta that I got here was dry and really could’ve used more flavor. The soy curls just can’t really hold their own in this context, and it really needed some sort of creamy sauce in there. The included spicy ground peanut and chili hot sauce is really good and super hot, but it’s more just to dip a corner in and can’t cover the dryness of the sandwich.
80 pesos for a sandwich and fries and some homemade hot sauce is a good deal, so maybe I’ll head back and try something else and see if it was just an off day.
