My wife and I absolutely love this establishment!! We had brunch twice, and the snack and dinner menu on the 4 visits. Every meal we chose something different and each meal was nothing short of amazing!! The decor, the friendly staff, and food is top notch! So happy to hear there will be a Toronto location soon.

Read moreVery different experience. Service and good substantially average. Kitchen very late and partial delivery even on a single dish
Staff nice but incredibly short staffed
Then came a clump of mud lettuce in the salad
Shame as this was a favorite of mine

Beautiful place but so expensive for something that is not outstanding - plus you need to eat somewhere else after because of the miniature sized portions!

Worth a Try - Edit
Maybe I picked the wrong items but this was the place in the top of my 'vegan list'. I had the Banh Mi Burger and it was kind of just some coated tofu and slaw on a standard bun. However the menu is very expansive and the service was excellent even though I was acting super awkward (unable to speak French). It's also a really cool atmosphere. I'd check it out again to try other options.

Fine, but nothing exceptional - Edit
Cool, rather busy spot with friendly staff and a varied menu. I would’ve loved to try at least five different mains but settled for the chili, which turned out to be a bit “meh” unfortunately. Very simple, without much flavor. The nachos on the side came straight from the bag, it seemed. The dessert menu was a little underwhelming, especially with two options unavailable this particular day. On the plus side, the coffee was delicious.

Cons: Chili without much love, A bit noisy at 1:30 pm on a Friday, Uninspired dessert menu

The menu looked absolutely amazing but when we received the food it did not reach up to our expectations.

Bad experience - Edit
Review is a bit late - we came back in the summer. We arrived shortly before brunch ended but they said they could take us. They ended up sitting us in a table of 4, sitting right next to 2 other people which was a bit awkward. We ordered the vegan omelette and some other bowl that looks like it has been removed from the menu (had lentils, vegan sausage and the rest I forget. The bowl was way too oily and savoury - it didn't taste good - good to see that it was removed from the menu. The vegan omelette was something else.. It came on a mini butcher's block and had so much oil that a puddle had dripped onto the table over the course of the meal. The taste wasn't anything special but the excessive oil really did not help. Might come back one day, but definitely not for brunch.

Modern & great flavours! - Edit
The decor is modern and rich looking. They have swing seats in the back that I wonder if anyone uses. We went for lunch time on a weekday. It got really busy and loud! I ordered the soup of the day which was delicious and a zucchini pasta plate with truffle sauce (smelled strange but was so tasty!). I love trying on new flavours so it made me happy. The kimchi fries are a must try. My boyfriend ordered a jackfruit burger and said it was just ok.

almost entirely vegan - Edit
Pretty much everything on the menu is vegan, including desserts. The place was very busy, even on a Wednesday, so try to get a reservation. Make sure to book the reservation a few hours in advance. The food is very good, though it is on the expensive side. The portions are medium sized. The vegan cheese is very good. The service was fairly fast, considering how busy it was.

Good food - Edit
Food was delicious! Every dinner dish was made vegan then you could pay extra to add an egg or real cheese. My family ordered a bunch of dishes to try and all were great. My favorite was the mushroom risotto. Only down side was the service was a bit slow. We saw our food sitting under heat lamps for five - ten minutes before our waiter brought it to us (he was busy talking to the other waiters).

Not in Lov - Edit
First, the good news: When you walk into this beautiful, buzzing restaurant with its funky decor and chattering diners, you feel that plant-based food has arrived. But however gorgeous and inviting a dining space might be, ultimately a restaurant lives or dies by the quality of its food. We had high expectations. Sadly, they were only half-met. The Lox Bagel was nice enough, and vaguely smokey-flavoured, but it lacked oomph. The Tofu Omelette was similarly bland and the Lumberjack, although very good in parts, overly salty. The Pancakes with Apple Sauce looked good but suffered from an over-abundance of cinnamon. Everything was beautifully presented, service was very good and the funky washroom as gorgeous as the dining area. Yet one left with the uneasy feeling that what one had experienced was the triumph of form over function.

We were there at a weekday for lunch and it was all packed! Fortunately we didn't have to wait long to get a table. I had a kale mac-n-cheese and it was delicious! I really like the vibe of the restaurant and clearly it is a popular spot. I look forward to visit LOV again.
