I came here for lunch, based on other reviews and was not disappointed. The vegetable tacos were full of flavour and a good portion size too. I enjoyed them with a lemonade.

Read moreBe careful ordering the side of black beans as I am convinced there may have been pork in them (I had one bite and the bean gravy tasted of salty meat). If so, that is my fault as I should have asked (or, maybe they should have listed as such on the menu?).

Nice selection of vegan friendly options - Edit
We went here a couple of times during our time in Havana, both on our own and with friends. Everytime, we were greeted by friendly and attentive staff who worked hard to ensure that all vegan friendly optioms were identified, even checking with the chef regarding ingredients if they were unsure. The yucas bravas, vegetable tacos and pasta were all well prepared, nicely presented and tasted delicious. #Veganuary

A solid place for dinner in Havana! - Edit
Went here twice, the first time for a requested Pasta napolitana (and some plantain) and the second time for some customised non-meat tacos and rice and beans. The staff are very facilitating for any vegan requests, good experience. However don’t forget to ask for no cheese as you will be served cheese on the side in a little bowl for your pasta😉

Como otras personas, pedí los tacos (tortilla de harina) y frijoles, y todo muy rico. El servicio excepcional y la ubicación inmejorable si lo que quieres es estar en la Habana Vieja. Aun estando ahí yo vi los precios muy accesibles, para porciones generosas y buenas bebidas.
Read moreLike most everyone else, I got the vegetable tacos (flour tortillas) and beans and it was all quite good. The service was exceptional and an unbeatable location if you want to be in old Havana. For the area, i thought the prices were really reasonable, especially given the well-served portions and good drinks.

Super delicious Yucca-Fries and very good cocktails - Edit
We spent two evenings at Lo De Monik. The staff was friendly, the seating area nice. We had the Yucca Fries, vegan Tacos and rice with beans plus some cocktails. I would definitely recommend eating here :)

We enjoyed this place for dinner one evening a felt it was a great find for us as vegans in a city where there are limited option. We brought our daughter who is studying in Havana with 5 of her classmates for lunch and they all loved it!

This was the best food I have had in Cuba. Vegan items are marked on the menu and everything is delicious and beautifully served. In addition to appetizers, sandwiches and tacos there is also an option of a fully vegan breakfast (coffee, juice, fruit salad, veggie+bean stew/mix with toast). The hummus plate is a masterpiece. It's a bit pricier but worth the quality.
