I had heard nothing but great reviews about this new vegan bao bun restaurant in Brussels. It's safe to say that I wasn't disappointed! The staff were warm and friendly and there was a good selection of bao bun fillings. We had three bao buns and a plate of dumplings to share. I was a particular fan of the Jacko Wacko bao as was my other half. I will definitely come back here for lunch when I'm in the city centre.

I had the aubergine and hot chick baos, both were really great. For sides, we shared the gyoza, calamari, and spring rolls. For dessert, we shared the peanut butter bao and ‘Da Baomb’. The ice cream was so good. Everything was super fresh and tasty! Excellent service too, and nice atmosphere. Can’t wait to come back! #Veganuary

Lil Bao is the lil sibling of my favourite restaurant in Brussels: LiuLin.

Every time I would think about going out for dinner, LiuLin would be the place I would go to. There wasn’t any other choice for me. I was always excited to go to my favourite place. But now these guys decided to open this lil charming place and just complicated my life. Because until now I didn’t have to choose a restaurant and now I have to choose between LiuLin and Lil Bao. I can say that Liu Lin is no longer the best vegan restaurant in town, it now has to split the first place with its lil sibling. The guys did it again! They are the best.
Ps.: Please, don’t open a third restaurant and complicate even more my life.
Pps: Please do, and take all my money.

Really tasty food with plenty of vegan food. Fried or steamed starters, bao sandwiches, miso soup. Everything was delicious.

Lil Bao serves fluffy, warm bao buns with a variety of delicious vegan fillings. I got the Hot Chick, the Aubergenius and a side of Lil Dim Sums. The establishment looks great, the staff is very friendly and the food is 10/10. You will have a super tasty lunch and an overall nice experience.

Serves 5 different bao buns (november 2022) and 6 'sidekicks' to accompany your meal. Also some bao-themed desserts - not on the pictures of the menu, sorry!
Easy, quick & friendly-as-ever service both to eat in & for take-away. You can order with a QR-code, if you want (not sure if that's for orders in advance, or only when already seated there). Open both for lunch & dinner.
Get them before they get flooded (with long rows of customers, of course)! 😉

Read moreit’s a bit expensive for the small portion you get. it’s around 7€ for one small bao, i got 2 baos and 2 entree to be full so if you have a big stomach like me it can become very easily expensive. but for the rest it was a great experience, i don’t even have pictures because everything was so delicious we couldn’t wait x).
