Definitely a great dining spot. Ordered online via QR-code while sat at the table which we loved, though staff would have been happy to take an order. We spent around 45 euro's for some dumplings, two bao's, loaded fries and two beers. Would definitely recommend more than one bao per person for dinner.

Read moreEverything we tried was extremely delicious. We shared the "Lil Dims" (5 steamed vegetable dim sums) as a starter and loved them. After that each of us had two Baos. I decided to eat the "Hercules" Bao (gyros, garlic yoghurt, feta, cucumber and onion) and the "Nice To Meat You" Bao (meaty patty, mustard, ketchup, cucumber, pickle & onion) and I was obsessed with both of them. 10/10, would highly recommend!
Definitely would come here again for my next Brussels trip.

Very good for European Bao - Edit
This is the best European Bao I've had but I'm used to Bao where the Bao itself is a little sweet and the filling is actually spicy which this - even the spiciest labeled one - is not. It's definitely worth a stop though!

As a bao place, i would rate it 5/5. But as a restaurant, it gets just 3/5. Bao is great but it’s not something i would eat every day. It was great to go check it out. I think it’s a bit expensive for the food it offers.

Best Bao's in town! - Edit
The Lil Bao is a very cozy restaurant with a small but varied selection of Bao's and other asian inspired food. All food on the menu is exceptional and you can't go wrong with any pick. All staff is very friendly and forthcoming and the restaurant has a lovely terrace out back, great for a summer meal.

Just came across the restaurant on a trip to Brussels. The bao buns were very tasty and also more filling than I expected. We also tried the little Dims, which I loved even more than the boa buns!

We hadden de hercules en de hot chick (deze is ook minder pittig verkrijgbaar).

Really tasty food and the staff are really nice. Nice to order some smaller plates to share. Only issue I had was that my edamame had a fishy flavour so I think they're steamed with the vegan fish, so maybe that's something that can be separated.

The best place I visited in Belgium - Edit
I visited twice in two days and this says a lot, because there was also a vegan market on one of the days, where I had a lot to eat, but I still could make space for a Bao!! We tried three of them – the one with aubergines, the “chicken” one and the jackfruit one and I cannot honestly say which one was the best one, as they were all great. The guys inside are also very friendly, one guy in particular (the manager?) recognised me the second time and took the time to come and speak to me, which I found a nice touch. The place is nice and bright, they also have a “hidden” garden on the roof. I wish there was a place like this where I live, too!

Lovable place. Since it's open all afternoon and during weekends , and the portions aren't too big (and priced accordingly!) it's the perfect place to have just a snack (hungrier? They have really cool sides!)

Lil bao is thé place to go for me and my vegan friend for lunch. We usually take 2 baos each and some sides. The vegan calamares and dim sums are mouth-watering. There sister-restaurant LiuLin (with noodle and rice bowls) is equally top notch, but reservation might be in order 😉.
