Great home-made food - Edit
No-fuss place w/ a great owner and staff. Everything is vegan and there were a few tables outside. We had a few small plates and it tasted good - esp. the mushroom 'crepe' and sobrassada spread (below)!

Valencian Paella - Edit
The tasty Paella was cooked at the moment, not just heated up like in other places. The owner was nice and the Marzen beer awesome.

Totally disappointing - Edit
Totally disappointing and overrated.
Read moreFood was "ok" but super oily and average.
There is no menu, everything is written on the blackboard - in spanish obviously - and the waiters are not helpful at all, they just don't care.
Wouldn't come back, not suggested.
Pros: Vegan options

THE BEST BATATA BRAVA EVER - Edit
Anyone fan of batata brava just HAS to come here! It is divine, the best we've ever had with a huge ammount of vegan garlic mayo just to die for! The rest of the food was nice, cool spot, very alternative tapas place, great option in Ruzafa neighbourhood

Comida tradicional vegana - Edit

Strange place, wonderful food - Edit
Lovely tapas selection, some of he best food we had in Valencia but strange atmosphere and perceived unfriendly staff. However she warmed up eventually when we tried to speak Spanish😄

Loved it! - Edit
My Spanish is about nil, and at first I thought the person behind the bar was a bit unhelpful, but we guessed she meant sit anywhere so did. Managed to establish that everything was vegan, and she mellowed when I said bueno. Studied the chalk board menu, eventually took a chance and ordered two pitta items, one falafel, the other we had no idea, but we’d be sure there would be no dead animal! Well they were delicious, especially the mystery one which was tofu and salad with a lovely garlicky sauce. Ever onwards, we studied the dessert list, tarte was going to be a tart, but the type, our dictionary failed us until I had a lightbulb moment - Catelan! Switched on-line dictionary and was able to order and enjoy chocolate and pumpkin tart!
Read moreWell worth a visit. We’d hoped to get vegan paella, but she said that’s on Domingo.
Addendum:
Well we went back on Sunday, and paella was on the menu. Had to wait until 3:00, not sure if it’s cooked to order or only ready by then, but wow was it worth waiting for! It was delicious, mostly green, not sure why, with the vegetables of the season including artichoke, various beans and cauliflower. Not sure what their other ingredients are to give it such a wonderful taste, will have to be one of those special meal memories. Both staff very pleased when I told them estuvo delicioso!

Delicious, great atmosphere - Edit
If you want a typical tapeo experience in Valencia, this is the place to go! Everything is vegan so you don't need to think twice. The food is always really delicious and there's a great vibe about the place. The brownies are second-to-none.

Excellent - Edit
We didn’t expect to find many vegan or vegetarian restaurants in Spain... certainly didn’t expect any traditional Spanish bars serving vegan food. But then we found this! A must if you’re in Valencia looking for delicious vegan food! We came in for the paella but they only have it on sundays. So we had the patatas bravas as a starter (one plate for two and we were almost full!) and then had the falafel which was sooo yummy! We’ll come back here and so should you!

Tapeo - Edit

Didn’t have any paella (as mentioned on happy cow) on the menu that I could see, but I had the seitan wrap and it was really delicious and was a pretty generous size. The vibe was really cool and the woman behind the bar was lovely.

Personal desagradable pero buena comida. - Edit

Amazing pub - Edit
I had dinner at La Tavernaire, which was basically one of the few places still selling food at around 23:30 (when I got to Valencia).
Read moreFood was super-tasty: both the seitan wrap (really oily!!) and the musaka were great, and the potatoes with mojo (tomato sauce, slightly spicy) were perfect.
Menu is written on the wall just in valenciá, but it's easy enough to understand.
There is a 'punk' vibe in the place that I enjoyed a lot!

Great place with delicious traditional dishes - Edit
We loved this place so much we came here twice on a recent trip to Valencia.
Read moreThey have a menu that changes daily written on a blackboard, and I believe the dish of the day is €6 including a drink.
They serve lots of traditional Spanish dishes including a delicious Patatas Bravas and some days a Paella. Watch out though, Paella is not served every day, so I wouldn't come expecting to eat the Valencian classic, unless you've checked in advance (I've heard it's only on Sundays).
The staff are lovely, but I don't think they speak much English; a lot of the dishes will be self-explanatory, but Google Translate might come in handy here if you don't speak Spanish.
Would definitely come again: amazing food, nice atmosphere, lovely staff, great beer - perfect!
Pros: Delicious traditional Spanish food, All vegan, Lovely staff

La mejor comida española vegana! - Edit

100% vegan , paella only on Sundays - Edit
It's more like a pub with food, the staff is nice but not extremely welcoming.. small tables and homey feel. we took papas con mojo, mussaka con carabasseta( courgettes) and milfeulles de alberginias (aubergines) plus 3 beers , we spent 22 euros. The menu mentioned postre (dessert) but they had none until tomorrow, she said. The food was nice , but warned up in a microwave, not my favourite , no payment with cards . I would try maybe another time the paella if in Valencia again.

Cons: fairly priced
