Listened to the reviews and ordered the love supreme calzone and the tiramisu. Did not disappoint. Even the meat eaters amongst us enjoyed it. Delicious! Lovely staff and great beers.

Pizza was ok - Edit
We had 2 of the pizzas. Love the concept of having vegan pizzas and the organisation seemed very collaborative. All in all it was a nice experience.

Don't skip the tiramisu! - Edit
I've heard such good things about La Stella Nera that I made sure to go here on the first night after my move to Berlin. It didn't disappoint! The pizza and calzones are made in a stone oven, which makes the texture incredible. Their vegan cheeses are tasty, and there are flavoured oils available to drizzle on your meal. These pizzas are definitely worth it!
Read moreI decided to end with a tiramisu, and it was out of this world fantastic! Probably the best tiramisu I've ever tried. Really great quality and I'm already plotting my return...
For locals or people travelling with their doggie, this restaurant is dog friendly - your well behaved dog is welcome to hang out under your table while you eat! There's also limited outdoor seating if you'd rather people watch outside.

Just Amazing - Edit
Quite possibly the best pizza I have ever eaten. The base was beautiful, light and thin without being wet, the toppings were generous and tasty, I'd love to know what cheese they use as it was like real cheese.. stringy! The garlic and chilli infused oils were also lovely and especially the chilli oil as it actually had a proper hit of heat!
Read moreI had the tiramisu as a desert which was creamy with just the right coffee hit.
I had the 1320 beer (I think that's what it was called) which is brewed in Berlin by a collective and was really good.
Pros: Pizza, Friendly staff, Great beer
Cons: Nothing, Nothing, Nothing

This food looks unreal. I don't think it's as tasty as it looks, but is still so good. I think I just ordered the wrong things for me, but was drooling like mad looking at everyone else's. Staff super friendly and super cute and fit us in.

Literally the best pizza I have ever had. I tried pizzas both with and without cheese, both delicious. The Funghi is my personal favourite. The dough is super tasty and fluffy and the topping taste great. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Berlin!!

Outstanding Pizza, great atmosphere. - Edit
We went on a Sunday night without reservation and were lucky to get a table! Salad was good. Service friendly and attentive. The pizza - we both had the Calzone "Love Supreme" with their homemade ricotta - was THE BEST pizza I've ever had!!!!!!!! Wow!!!!!!! And I've had many. Also the Tiramisù and Panna Cotta tasted and looked fantastic. We were super full afterwards... It's special that it's a collective. Lots of political activism noticeable, which I liked. And also animal right activism (Anti-Speciesism)! The menu isn't huge: Salads, Pizze, Pasta, Desserts. But that's totally fine.

Pizza & Tiramisu - Edit
We had pizza and shared a tiramisu - both was awesome! The crust was a little bit burned by the oven but that's probably because it's made in a real pizza oven so that was no problem at all. I would definitely come back to this awesome place! Make sure you reserve a table - they do not have lots of tables!

Awesome pizza and pasta - Edit
It was SO good to sit down to a menu with heaps of vegan choices! And the food and wine did not disappoint! The antipasto was great with the best tempeh I've ever tasted. Bruschetta was good too, followed by a delicious pizza topped with fresh vegies, vegan cheese on a tasty crispy crust. My nephew had the pesto tagliatelle which he said was very good. A couple of others recommended the tira misu for dessert.

Possibly the best pizza I've ever had - Edit
La Stella Nera is one of the best restaurants ever. The pizza is mindblowingly good. The staff are great. They have their own vegan Ricotta cheese. And to top it off, they are a collective, which is really great because I find politics are often left out of veganism. Highly recommended.

I had the pomodoro bruschetta and the Carciofi pizza.
Read moreSince I heard that they make their own tempeh, they offered to add it to the bruschetta; and it was a great decision.
The pizza was also great, I loved the crust and the flavor; however, having whole olives (with pit included) was something that they could change, as, for me, it interrupts the eating experience.
The staff was friendly; the interior was unpretentious, and the atmosphere was great.
I would certainly come back to try the calzones next time in Berlin.
Pros: yummy, good value, friendly staff

A must in Berlin - Edit
Cheap, amazing food and they have vegan Tiramisu, which more could you have? If you really enjoy Italian food, you should go there. The tiramisu tastes as tiramisu. Maybe I would choose another option for the "cookies" because they aren't as soft as Savoyarde. I took pizza marinara, water and tiramisu and I paid just 10 euros.

Amazing menu - Edit
After struggling to make a decision (!), we had the salami pizza (red sauce, vegan cheese, salami) and the love supreme calzone (vegan cheese and ricotta with veg), and then a tiramisu each. It was all delicious, especially the salami and the tiramisu! Staff were super friendly and ably juggling the demand for tables and takeaways (busy despite being a Tuesday evening). We sat outside and had a really lovely meal.

The best of Italian cuisine - Edit
This was the best vegan Italian cuisine experience I've ever had. We had appetizer - bread with amazing basil pesto and pizzas. They make them in a traditional way, in high temperatures, so it may seem burnt a little, but it's not really. They make pizzas both with white or red base and I love the fact that they don't put cheese and some kind of salami on every pizza. It got very crowded while we were here, with people waiting outside, so getting a reservation might be a good idea. Service was still fast and friendly.

the BEST pizza EVER! - Edit
went here for our last night in berlin and i'm not exaggerating at all when i say the pizza is the tastiest i've ever had and probably will ever have. the waitress was so lovely and offered to do a half and half topping since i couldn't decide between two pizzas! the dough was SO GOOD and both topping halves were delicious. i could've eaten the same pizza all over again when i was done 😋 my mum had one of their pasta dishes which she loved, and tried an experimental parmesan 'cheese' that the restaurant were working on which she said was delicious. then we had the panna cotta, also super yummy! all in all such a good experience for our last night and it will definitely be at the top of our list when we visit again.

Worth the visit! Or, maybe not.... - Edit
Update from previous review: I thought I would update my review since tonight's experience here was so very different from my last visit. Let me begin by saying that the food is still good. However, after tonight's experience I can't say I'll be going back, recommending it to any of my clients and most certainly never take any more of my friends there to represent vegans again. I took a curious non-vegan friend here tonight and could not imagine the embarrassment that lie ahead. We sat at one of 10 tables in total, patiently waiting for an hour to even be approached while several tables on either side of us consisting of guests who arrived well after us were not only served, but repeatedly looked after and when we politely tried to get the waitress's attention we were met with a snide "I will get to you after I take their order" with her back turned to us and pointing to a table of guests that had just arrived 5 minutes ago. After another 20 minutes she came to our table with a cold disposition and avoided looking at us. My friend and I couldn't figure out what we had done wrong, but we refused to stoop to the waitress's level and remained courteous. Ten minutes later the waitress returned because she forgot the 4 items we ordered - still refusing to look at us. Another hour went by and despite the constant ignoring and walking past us, calling to other patrons over our heads to check that they were alright, we remained quiet and patient until a gentlemen brought our food out. As soon as I put down my fork the rude waitress rushed to clear the table, no words and went inside. Twenty minutes later she walked by as we handed money to her, she put a crumpled receipt on the table and walked away to chat with people at another table as we sat there with the money still in our hands. Now we had been sitting there for almost 3 hours as many other patrons had come, been served and had gone. Finally my friend went in to pay and we left.
Read moreReview 2016-11-02: Really nice quaint place with a classy atmosphere. The prices are quite fair for the quality and service. If you have ever tried Neapolitan pizza you will see how the pizza here is beautifully done in the traditional Neapolitan style as are the desserts. The crust of Neapolitan pizza is very particular and this place does it to a perfection! I'm an American who likes more cheese on my pizza; however the quality and taste of this pizza is worth the smaller amount of cheese - no kidding! I highly recommend it!
