Restaurant and bar with two concepts, the ground floor restaurant is an "anti-pasti bar" where they serve small dishes for shared dining. The downstairs restaurant is called "restaurant", there you have to choose between a five or seven course dinner. Both restaurants share the same kitchen/chef, with dishes inspired by Italian cuisine. Everything is made in-house such as breads, dips, snacks, pastas, desserts and more. Previously listed as vegan, but reported to serve eggs and honey in July 2026. Open Thu-Sun 18:00-00:00.

Not vegan, not worth it - Edit
It used to be good before they got hyped up and increased their prices significantly without real changes in the food quality. Not worth it for me now, especially when they start to include eggs and honey under the guise of sustainability. Very uncreative if you can't even think of ways to simulate those in a plant-based way. Of course they can do whatever they want with their restaurant. But when I spend lots of money on dining I want to do it on a 100% vegan/plant-based restaurant.

No longer fully plant-based (and apparently never vegan) - Edit
Starting to use eggs and honey for ‘sustainability’ purposes. No proper actual explanation.

Not vegan anymore - Edit
Ate here two years ago, food was excellent. Now they've announced eggs and honey, dressed up as "nuance" and "sustainability". It isn't. Using animals after years of not using them is a huge step backwards, no matter the buzzwords.
Read moreDisappointing to see a restaurant reverse a genuinely principled stance, not just serve non-vegan food, but abandon what made them different.
For fully vegan options in Arnhem, try De Nieuwe Kantine, Vegan Sushi Bar, or Atelier Giri instead.

Since five stars are only allowed for all vegan restaurants, I hope the rating here will be adjusted. They are now including animal products in their food.

Antipasibar. Top! Wel rumoerig en vrij vet eten - Edit
Antipasti bar is top!

Heavenly food 😍 - Edit
I went here twice so far and both times were fabulous. I went for the 5 course menu both times, because I didn’t want to / could not choose. The staff is lovely.
Read moreI’m autistic and sensitive to stimuli. For me, the venue is a bit intense. The light can be overwhelming and the noise level is rather high because the acoustics of the venue are not that great. I’ve brought a hat and ear plugs and managed fairly well when using those to reduce the intensity of stimuli somewhat.
The food is so incredibly good. It looks great, it’s filling, the different techniques and ingredients used all flourish (generally, I once had a pretty salty asparagus soup, but apart from that, the tastes have been balanced and refined).
There are some interesting cocktails on the menu.
Everything is fully plant-based!!
And the best news; there is a Konijnenvoer cookbook!!! I’ve bought it and it has proofed to be a great investment.
Update 24-12-2024 went for Christmas dinner with my parents and grandma and it was the best Christmas dinner I have ever had. It was a lot of fun sharing the experience with my family and the (wine) pairing made it all the more interesting. I want to try the non-alcoholic pairing sometime, that ought to be very interesting too.

Excellent - Edit
The best vegan restaurant I’ve ever been to. I love Italian food and Konijnenvoer does everything right! Great food, exciting food combinations, a lot of the food is homemade, friendly staff that know what they’re serving.
Read moreTwo points of critisism: the music inside is quite loud. They ask you if they can offer you water. When we got the bill, it became clear that a bottle of water is six euros. That’s not a problem, but the way they say it implies that the water is free.

Got everything we desired - Edit
Went with a friend for a fancy night out. We took the 7 course menu, plus extra bites (vegan oyster friandises). Enjoyed all the little bites. We tried to pick a top dish but had to agree on at least 4 dishes being absolute favorites. I liked the variety between more traditional fine dining and some "indulgent" food like the mushroom barbie. We did expect more from the friandises at the end though, especially for the price.

Michelin star worthy experience - Edit
WAUW fantastische ervaring!
Absolute aanrader!

Michelin prices but not quite Michelin (yet) - Edit
Perhaps it isn't fair to compare this dining experience to another fine dining one we had the day after this one that we absolutely loved, but this restaurant experience fell slightly short, despite the fact it cost more than the other.
Read moreThe courses themselves had some lovely flavors but sometimes lacked in terms of creativity, such as the mushroom skewer served with an oily pita bread. This course didn't feel like fine dining.
In terms of service, it was friendly but there was quite a long wait between wine pouring and the dish to match it, which meant half of the (very small) pour was gone by the time the food arrived. The dining experience took 3.5 hours which was a little long for me. However, we really appreciated the explanation of how the wines matched the courses.
Of the several courses given, only one was a dessert. Normally, there are at least 2 sweet tastes in a fine dining experience (one often being complimentary). We were given after dinner mints at the end which just felt a little stingy after spending over 300 euros.
This was a very expensive meal and while there were several highlights, it felt overpriced for what it offered.

Fine-dining vegan experience in Arnhem - Edit
Splendid experience in their antipasti bar. Friendly staff and a delicious sharing menu. We went for an assortment of sides and starters which I would highly recommend.
Read moreThe first floor is a great antipasti bar while at the ground floor is a fine-dining location in an old vault.
Highly recommend the sides (menu is changing with the season) but we had delicious Spitskol and roasted pumpkin with vegan whipped ricotta.
Almost everything is made in house or locally sourced (including the homemade kombuchas).
Pros: Seasonal cooking, Refined cuisine
