Good - Edit
The food and drinks here are mediocre, but I dont mind that. It contains milkpowder. I understand that their concept is not about the best quality food but about the lovely cats and this cosy place. They have houserules that you can read at the door and bathroom incl. not picking them up and dont touch them when they're sleeping. This is great, but people dont seem to follow these rules. The staff is aware of this and are not afraid to tell them, but a lot of time prople dont understand it which leads to annoyance.
Read moreAnd the 'not picking up' rule was also not followed by the staff themselves, but at least they really seem to care about the wellbeing of the cats, and they love them.
They have added more vegan options, and they do understand what vegan is from their menu. They also warned me that their chai latte is not vegan due to milkpowder.
Bonus: verry kid friendly place. Kids get to give them treats.

Okay - Edit
The cats were adorable!
Read moreThe cappuccino was okay but don't expect barista quality, decaf version wasn't great.
Ordered the apple-almond pie since that was the only vegan option for sweets.
When it came to the sweets, the menu was a little bit confusing. The sweets were not labeled as vegan or not, though the apple-almond pie and the brownie both had a note of " +vegan ice cream and whipped cream", making me think these were both vegan. That was not the case as the apple-almond pie was the only vegan option. Tasted good though!
Would have liked to have a napkin served with the apple pie.
Staff was very friendly!
Maybe adding some rules regarding the cats peace of mind would be good. Something like preventing guests of initiating contact with the cats and leaving that up to the cats, no picking up the cats etc. Also the only place I could find the house rules were on the bathroom door. I would have liked to see a print-out in the menu, and I can't seem to find them online either. But maybe I overlooked?
All in all the place is cute with cute cats, furniture, and a nice garden, but I would not return for the coffee.

Recommended! - Edit
They have expanded on the vegan options in their menu since they opened, I was pleasantly surprised! They serve vegan sandwiches and salads, and have a vegan apple pie with ice cream and whipped cream. They also have oat milk as milk alternative. The staff is very friendly and well-informed on the ingredients. Of course the cats are super cute and easy-going.

Super leuk kattencafé met een stadstuin, waar ook de lieve rustige katten in kunnen. Hele aardige bediening in dit café en vegan opties op de menukaart.
