Kitchen is run by renowned Chef Ricardo Vitali. Serves mainly traditional Portuguese food. Everything is house-made, including breads, "cheeses" and ice-creams. Gluten-free options and children's playground are available. Companion animal friendly. Open Mon-Thu 12:00-23:00, Fri-Sat 12:00-23:30. Closed Sun.

Good Portuguese food with environmental impact focus - Edit
The food was good, but the focus was definitely not on health food. They had some traditional meat-heavy dishes done vegan that were very tasty. Environment is really cool and staff are very friendly.

Very enjoyable dinner - Edit
We had a very good three course dinner at Kong. The food was good throughout, but the fries that accompanied the seitan steak were legendary! The oreo mousse was also extremely good. We were there on a Saturday night and although there was a steady flow of customers the restaurant wasn't full at any point, making Kong a very good dinner option in the central tourist area if you don't have a booking.

We were 5 rowdy slightly drunken lads who are vegan and who work in hospitality and own restaurants etc. Quite simply the food was surprisingly excellent alongside great service. I had the seitan steak with mushroom sauce. One bit of feedback would be to turn the lighting down a little, it was bright! A few candles and lower lighting would improve the atmosphere. I would wholeheartedly recommend and will go back when next in Lisbon.

As soon as I walked in I was greeted by the friendly staff members. I ordered the special (unfortunately can’t remember the name) and it was honestly one of the nicest Vegan dishes I’ve ever come across. Full of flavour, texture and reasonably priced. It had seitan beef, chips and a delicious soup as constituent parts and all were cooked to perfection. For my first restaurant visit in Lisbon I can’t think of a single thing I’d change. Can’t recommend enough!

Lots of the food in Lisbon is on the healthy side (which is great) but sometimes you just need some chips in your life! Go to Kong and grab the fish & chips, you will not be disappointed. Also the chocolate moose is insanely good, order 2!

The amount of flavor in their dishies is indescribable. We tried the Nuggets, the Francesinha and the Fish and Chips and were blown away by all of them! They surely have super scientists in that Kirchen. Just try it 😊

Amazing food!! I’m not vegan but I went there with a friend which is and I have to say that it was a really good surprise for me. The food is simply delicious and honestly I had the impression to eat fish for real! The staff is fantastic and very helpful.

Lors de notre séjour à Lisbonne nous avons appris qu'un tout nouveau restaurant vegan venait d ouvrir à Lisbonne et nous l avons donc testé le soir de la St Valentin. Ce fut une très belle expérience. Les plats étaient succulents et la décoration de nos assiettes était très raffinée. Le cadre est vraiment sympathique. La grande statue de King Kong apporte une touche originale à la décoration de la salle. Nous recommandons donc sans hésiter....

The best part of this is the food. Best example of how good vegan food can get. 10/10 i would recommend to anyone near the centre of Lisbon. Definitely took advantage of their 2 litre sangria. The service is really nice too!
