A great place for lunch

I loved the sandwich platter. Was perfect for lunch. The iced chocolate drink was so good we bought another one. And the pastry with ice cream was delicious. Would definitely go back.

Pros: Completely vegan, Perfect for lunch, Delicious

Good vegan restaurant in Ginza

The salad was quite tasty and reasonably priced. Bright and spacious environs. You order on a tablet and the staff will bring the food to you.

Large space with a large menu

Larger restaurants are hard to come by in Japan, so Komeda is good for groups. The layout reminds me a bit of a Denny’s. The menu is equally large and there’s a nice variety to choose from. I wasn’t a big fan of the egg salad style sandwich but the tofu fritters were excellent.

Vegan food heaven

They have western and japanese food. I was happy to be able to eat a vegan katsu sando. Everything I tried was great and I wish we had come here more times so I could try the rest of the menu. Mid-price range. Place looks cozy and modern, it was nice to see a lot of locals there too.

Pros: Diverse menu with local dishes

Cons: You may have to wait a bit to be seated

Our fav breakfast place

We stayed in Ginza just so we could eat breakfast here every morning! This place is incredible. Love the atmosphere, and it feels very nice and private where you are seated. It's easy to order on the tablet. The food is amazing! I couldn't stop ordering the potato salad sandwich and the pancackes!

Good by chain standards

We dropped in for dinner after failing to get a table at sold-out Ain Soph nearby. Though this is a chain restaurant with a by-the-numbers approach to the food business, there is some reasonably good food to be found. The menu is mostly comfort food, though there are a few healthier items like the edamame, which was the tastiest item we had.

Japanese-influenced American diner food

Located on the bottom floor of an office high-rise, KOMEDA is has a broad array of foods traditionally found in an American diner (burgers, cocoa, coffee, pancakes) but with a Japanese influence. Not the best vegan meal I’ve had in Tokyo but nothing wrong with it either. It hit the spot as we packed up and headed to the airport.

Lots of Western-style options

We came here a couple of times when we just wanted something quick and easy, and it didn’t disappoint. They’re pretty busy in the mornings because they open much earlier than other vegan restaurants in the area. Would particularly recommend the lemon soy meat sandwich, the soft serve and the ice chocolate.

Good!

Pedí el sándwich, venía con ensalada y papas, y un latte con leche de avena. Perfecto para un almuerzo y continuar el día 😃

KOMEDA is

Venue
Big, modern, close to the local train station. Light and airy. Nice music.

Service
A friendly welcome. Shown to my seat. Ordering is done via an iPad. Food was brought fairly quickly to my table with a smile.

Food
I had the soy meat sandwiches. Somewhat chewy soy meat but enjoyable. The spicy mayo was approx a 0.01/10 on the spicy scale. I also had the soy cutlet toasted sandwich which was much softer and again, enjoyable. Paired with a little tankard of iced oat coffee.

Price
Pricy but it’s Ginza. I’d come back here again for sure.

All vegan kissaten!

Very cute kissaten with all vegan food! A bit on the expensive side but it is located in Ginza after all 😅 The food is really good, although the portions could be a bit more generous. I went there twice and enjoyed my meals both times. I also appreciated being able to use the wifi and charge my devices.

Pros: All vegan kissa! , Good food and good coffee, Great ambiance

Cons: Portions are small for certain dishes (pasta)

Poor

Took over half an hour for them to make a basic vegan burger and fries to go. When I did get the food (after waiting 30mins) it was cold...I rarely write bad reviews, but this was just not acceptable.

Cons: Poor service, Length of time to serve food , Cold food

Good

The food is good. I had a sandwich (I believe cutlet) and pancakes. Everything was good. It's a western diner vibe.
Note: they do not have fruit sandwiches.

Pros: All vegan

Fully vegan restaurant with plenty of choice

This fully vegan, american style dinner was great with quick service. I had the avocado teriyaki burger and my boyfriend the chicken burger with tartar sauce. The soy burger patties were great, especially the chicken one. We will definitely be coming back :)

They have lots of choices from typical American dinner foods, like burgers, sandwiches, milkshakes and more.

Pros: Fully vegan, Lots of choice, Quick service

Great atmosphere and food!

Great place to get solid western vegan food. Mind you if you come in the later times, majority of the popular items will be sold out. Clean and big location right in Ginza. Amazing drinks though!!

Pros: Location, Drinks, Atmosphere

Cons: Popular items sell out fast, Usually crowded

Komeda is oishi

Had a great plant based feed at Komeda is. Lotus root chips, fries with tartare and tomato sauce, curry burger, teriyaki avo burger and half toast with soy cream cheese.
All were demolished and delicious 😋
Don't miss this if you visit Tokyo.

Food was good but nothing to rave about

We enjoyed our food here and it was good but nothing spectacular. The interior is really lovely and savoury food is good. We were disappointed with the pancakes, they are very dense and not bouncy at all as described.

Pros: Interior , Mock meat options

Cons: Pancakes
