A must for a great brunch - Edit
I have been back to Komeda is 2 times after my first. The food is simply amazing, the atmosphere is so relaxing, with great jazz music, and the experience is local. Far from the turistic mob you find elsewhere.

Great breakfast and lunch - Edit
I loved this place! I thought everything was really good. Got the katsu sandwich, pancakes, and corn soup. I thought the bread they give you with a drink was also really good!

Great value and option for breakfast - Edit
They open earlier than most vegan restaurants at 7am. Their drinks come with a big piece of toast with your choice of topping which was only 700yen and filled me up. Didn’t realize how big it would be so got additional food and we were stuffed. The whipped cream was so good. Very good place and great value!

Unreal, must visit for Brekky! - Edit
KOMEDA is - a fantastic spot to grab Brekky every morning before tackling a full day of Tokyo activities. Everything is fully vegan, the ordering system makes dining very simple, the vibes of the restaurant are immaculate, and the food is such good quality at an excellent price. We went twice during our stay in Tokyo this week and would gladly go again if we stayed longer. Highlight was definitely the pork cutlet sandwiches for me.

Delicious in nice atmosphere - Edit
When I found myself hungry and lost today, I ended up at Komeda is. I was given a warm welcome and chose a single seat by the window. It was easy to order using the tablet. The staff spoke both Japanese and English.

Absolutely Amazing - Edit
It was so good. I tried the hot chocolate, which the hot chocolate itself wasn't anything special but I really appreciated the thick cream as a vegan living in Japan, as it's not easy to find. Also tried the soy cream croquets, which I was so happy they had since I'd heard so much about the Japanese croquets before coming but didn't think I'd have the chance the try. They were also really good. The last thing I had was the matcha cream red bean toast. It was honestly out of this world. I have such a sweet tooth so I really loved it. The only thing I would say is that the matcha isn't very strong, you can just mostly taste the red bean paste, but I love that anyway. Also, I loved that so many people were working here as I find it difficult to dedicate a day to studying not just in my room since most cafes don't have vegan options. Will definitely be going back to study

Lovely cafe open early near Ginza. Enter through the large glass building. The ordering system can be switched to English.

Edit: We came back again and this time got the sandwich platter. When they say “spicy mayo,” they mean a mild wasabi mayo. It’s still delicious, just caught us by surprise

A must visit! - Edit
My biggest regret from visiting Tokyo is not getting to know "Komeda" earlier! I only had a chance to have a breakfast there twice, but certainly could have breakfast there each day without getting bored. The menu is extensive, their toasts are awesome, and the katsu sando (with soy meat) is really good. But what I enjoyed most was the toast with soy cream powdered with matcha, and a fun coffee jelly. On top of the great food, the place is really nice, making the meal very enjoable.

Great option for breakfast - Edit
Took a ticket and was seated within 5 minutes in the morning. Before 11am you can get a free breakfast with a drink - I went for minestrone and toast to go with my soy matcha latte.

Komeda is? Amazing! - Edit
Read moreSoy Matcha Au Lait, the Strawberry & Amazake Smoothie, and almond milk ice cream were delicious.
The grilled soymeat lemon sandwich was great.
The egg-style chicken tartar burger with French fries was very sweet—too dessert-like to enjoy. 😞
The rice pancake with maple syrup was yummy.
Carlsberg (Copenhagen) beer was very good.
The plant-based Shiro Noir and toast with red bean paste and whipped cream were amazing.
The service was very professional, and the ambience was pleasant.

Good food at a pinch - Edit
It’s great to have a vegan kissa! The food is good, basic and fills the hole. Don’t go out of your way for it. But it’s a good late night option.

4 per i pancake - Edit
Avrei dato 3 perchè il sandwich e il panino non erano niente di che, non cattivi ma non sarei tornata a mangiarli perchè un po' asciutti... i pancake invece erano davvero buoni

Authentically Japanese - Edit
This place is totally Japanese. I remember this type of Japanese restaurant from my pre-vegan days. Everything we ordered was good, as can be expected in Japan, but the potato salad sandwich was excellent.

Incredible lunch - Edit
I have been to its non-vegan chain before I went vegan, and I'm very surprised that they have a vegan one here in Tokyo. The burger is MINDBLOWING. I had the soy meat cutlet with egg-like thingy on top, the texture of the cutlet was incredible. Might be the best burger I've had. Matcha soda was amazing as well. 10/10 atmosphere and customer service

Delicious avocado burger - Edit
I've been meaning to try out this place. I ordered the large avocado burger with fries. Really nice and filling but the avocado kept slipping out because the burger was so big. I would have liked to try the pancakes but I was too full and pressed for time. Hope to try it next time. Lots of seating. I didn't have to wait because I arrived

Came here for breakfast. A large coffee with toast was just 850 yen. The bread was deliciously fluffy. The coffee was mediocre. The menu options were many, but for me this small breakfast was ideal for this day. Ordering goes through a tablet, no language barriers here. Friendly staff too.
