Good vegan options

Nice lunch buffet which is offered every day. Dolmas, curry chickpeas, grilled pita and veggie stew were very good. The other items were either too sweet or flavorless. The mujadra was sticky rice with lentils, not mujadra. Lentil soup had no lentils, it had chickpeas and no flavor. The owner was very nice. However, the server never asked if we wanted drinks or to order off the menu, didn’t clear the dirty plates and never came to see how we were doing, or even bring the check. I wanted to love this place after badly missing Riyadh that burned down 3 blocks away but the food is not nearly as good.

So good!

I had the lunch buffet which is 80% vegan. Everything was delicious. Loved the fun beverages too. The owners are so nice and welcoming.

What About Kabob?

I ordered the Mojadarra, which includes cooked lentils and rice, caramelized onion, and herbs, topped with fried garbanzo beans and fresh basil. It was sweeter than I prefer. It was served with a small salad that was drenched in tahini. I liked the flavor, but there was way too much.

Note: The service charge on the bill is in lieu of a tip.

Pros: vegan section on menu, big portions, décor

Cons: disposable plastic sauce cups
