Get the loco moco, omelette, poke, and macadamia soft serve. Enjoy the amazing free iced tea bar. It is a little bit pricey but is worth it.

Vegan food in Kona - Edit
Tried this place on our last day in Kona and the omelet was delicious. The owner was super nice as well. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because the meals were about $25 each so my daughter and I could only afford to try one dish. It was nice inside, great vibe, and loved that there were a few games to choose from for my daughter.

That’s a direct quote from my daughter. She had the strawberry crepe. We also had both omelettes which were amazing and filled us up (the gravy one was particularly filling if you’re hungry), an açai smoothie, and you could tell the soft serve was amazing from the samples they gave us. Meals came with free tea /lemonade bar. Overall amazing, try it!

Best Vegan food in all of Hawaii - Edit
Loco Moco was insanely good, vegan ice cream is some of the best you will ever try. Best meal i had in 2 weeks total on all different islands. This place will be a core memory for my whole family.

When we got there we received a small sample of soft serve: vanilla dragonfruit! It was so good!

The actual food was a little greasy, sounded healthier.
We got the strawberry avocado tacos (3) and the artisian roll which was cut like sushi. We expected something rolled like a burrito. Was good, but a little greasy.
Indoor and outdoor seating available.
Also sell some handmade goods like shirts and jewelry.
We would only come back for the soft serve!

First time in Kona and headed here straight from the beach. As soon as I was 👀 looking over the menu. One of the friendly staff members offered me an ice cream sample.. he smiled and said yes it’s vegan! 🤩😍! I said absolutely and then devoured the sample and ordered the omelette I’ve always struggled to make vegan eggs but this was delightful light airy texture filled with fresh tomatoes potato’s and some sauce. I do wish there was more sauce as it was delicious 🤤 then had to order a cup of ice cream on this hot 🥵 Kona day! Their hibiscus 🌺 tea was refreshing as well. The staff is super friendly. Highly recommend

We absolutely love this cafe. The food was SO good that we had to visit several times during our stay. The items are a bit expensive, but this was definitely our favorite restaurant on the Big Island.

Amazing vegan food in a cute alley in downtown Kona. We had the compassionate pita and it was really good, and filling. Delicious Mediterranean flavours with unique combinations like a tahini and balsamic sauce. Check out the apothecary across the alley too!

Amazing vegan restaurant in the heart of Kailua-Kona. I believe the menu changes based on what we saw in person versus what’s on HappyCow, so I highly recommend checking the online menu! We had the Feisty Journey Tacos, Sourdough Flatbread, and Kona Sunrise Wrap - all were lusciously full of flavors!

Best vegan food that we had on the island! - Edit
We went here multiple times during our stay on this part of the island. The staff is wonderful! They were kind enough to stay open late for our party after my wedding ceremony.
Read moreWe've tried a good chunk of the menu. The Mac n cheese, pita wrap, pizzas, artisan rolls, soup/bread. I personally loved the Mac n cheese the best, I think it's the best vegan mac I've ever had. My family who are not vegan absolutely loved the falafel. Everyone was super happy with their food and the service!
The ice cream, cookies, and lava cake were delicious! Also the strawberry lemonade is so good!
I highly recommend Journey Cafe. They seem to have very steady business but we never waited too long. We had a fantastic time every time we went!
(There's also a cat cafe right around the corner!)

Won't get pizza again since more like flatbread with toppings. Didn't like the BBQ flavor even though I got the classic pizza.
The salad was fine, I liked their pockets.

They were giving vegan ice cream samples at the door, that helped get our non-vegan friends in the door 😉. Once we were in the sandwiches and salads were so good! Of course we ordered the ice cream dishes and cookies. Those non-vegan friends request requested we go back on another day, which we did!

This place is so good! We got the Journey Salad, Mac and cheeze upgraded to Mac Attack, and garlic knots. After a day on a plane we were so hungry! Food is fresh, big portions, staff so friendly and kind. Located in the middle section of little shops and was a little tricky to find because it’s not visible from the street or back paid parking lot (at least in the dark lol). Was so good we took more to go.
