I was really glad I was able to pass by Isla Vegana during my short stay at Ushuaia as they had the best vegan empanadas I've tried so far! The place is really cozy and I do recommend you to visit whenever in town.

A must visit while in Ushuaia! - Edit
You must go to Isla Vegana while visiting Ushuaia! There is so much variety (sweet and savoury), the food is full of flavour, and it is all freshly made on-site. They staff are super friendly and helpful too, providing recommendations of their favourites 😍
Read moreWe ate here three times while in Ushuaia and even took some food to go and eat at our hotel. We had the vegetable quiche(delicious), the tomato and herb quiche (made with chickpea flour), croissants, apple flan, focaccia isla sandwich (delicious! highly recommend), calzone, and the choripan (which is like a sausage sandwich). The menu items are available only until 3 pm. They will also heat up all the premade quiches, empanadas, etc., for you to eat in or takeaway.
Note: There is no table service, WiFi, or toilets here.

A big light during my travels in Argentina - Edit
I was so happy, to find something vegan to eat finally. And it was so delicious and the staff was wonderful, so I came two days in a row, brought friends and bought even for further travelling days. And super yummy coffee with Almond milk!

Loved the takeaway food available! - Edit
It was great to be able to buy vegan meals here that we could heat up at home - potato tortillas and wraps and pastries filled with vegetables. They also had wonderful muffins and even gluten free cakes. Such a great shop and so friendly!

We loved it so much we visited 3x during our two day stay and the brief time between disembarking our expidition ship and returning to the airport. Two of those visits we also bought an extra dish to go for later. If I had a local spot like this I would go every day!

The wrap was out of this world and then somehow the onion and cheese empanada was even better. The staff were so nice and helpful, the coffee was incredible, and they had a bunch of cute merchandise! I’m going back tomorrow since that cinnamon roll has been calling my name all day!

Fully vegan, lovely place and people. Plenty of options: salads and dishes of the day, sandwiches, wraps, drinks and many other vegan things such as cosmetics, oils. Great place. You can now eat in, which is great. They also sell frozen homemade foods such as chorizo, empanadas, seitan, etc...
