They had empanadas, ready-made sandwiches, foccacias and other (unknown to me) savoury bakes, croissants, muffins, cakes, cookies, coffee...
Read moreI had both flavours of empanadas, a tomato and olive foccacia and a banana and chocolate muffin and it was all really good.
The server was very helpful and explained some things in English for me. She warmed up the empanadas and the foccacia, so we could eat them there.
I'll be back!
Nb. You can eat in, but there's no table service and no bathroom.
On my 2nd visit, I had the (huge) croissant and a (huge) slice of lemon, apple and blueberry cake. Both delicious, though the croissant was slightly sweet (unnecessary for me).

Every single morning I went to isla vegana to get my coffee and media lunas. But I also got to try the focaccias, sandwiches, guava biscuit, alfajor and others I don’t recall the names. All perfect. The best vegan media lunas I had in argentina, I’m gonna miss it.

Isla Vegana was one of my favorite vegan spots in all of Argentina. I had almost everything they had during the three days I was in Ushuaia. It was all fresh and tasty, from wraps and sandwiches to pastries, empanadas, and desserts. It’s set up as a to-go place but allows for use of a few tables for a quick meal. It was a lifesaver for us two vegans in Ushuaia and a great way to stock up on food during day trips.

Nice range of vegan food available - came here for an early lunch. Enjoyed both wraps - tasty and filling without being heavy and really fresh. Also tried the faina - chickpea flour based tortilla type dish.

Not a place to sit and chill out but space for you to sit and eat.
No servers so you go up and pick up your order and also clear away after yourself.

Really liked the service model. You order and pay at the till and then bin non recyclable items, bringing up reusable and recyable items to the till. It is mostly a takeaway place.

This was a highlight of my trip - had their dish of the day (vegan chickpea curry with rice), a medialuna (croissant) and an empanada.

Best place for vegans in Ushuaia - Edit
Only 100% vegan place in the city. Quite hard to find english speaking staff in most cafés and restaurants so eating vegan can be a challenge - but this makes it simple. Very fresh and modern place. Only con is that there is no place to sit, you can only have take-away, or sit on a bench outside.

It's a fairly small place with a bakery, takeaway, and shop. We popped in wanting to satisfy a craving for something sweet and walked out with a couple alfajores. They're very rich (and big), but oh so satisfying!

There are not very many options here. It was great to see one vegan restaurant. It is a take away place with a few other vegan items like baked goods and vegan gift shop with chocolates and soaps etc. the staff was very friendly and helpful! I would highly recommend the wrap was delicious and the best food I had. Please support. I forgot to take a picture of the outside but it’s right by the church on the Main Street. I will probably be back for something sweet later and will update the review!
