Had the Pink panther burger and sweet potatoes plus the falafel wrap and salad. Both delicious and filling. The juice of the day (included in the price of the burger) was mango. Love the place and food.

We loved our food at Huacamole, it tasted incredible. They have so many different menu choices with most of them having a soy based meat alternative as the base.

Everything was incredible and we wish there was time to go back for more! They also have a large freezer section to buy meat alternatives and a bakery shelf as well.
Highly recommend and the staff were very friendly as well.

Nice vibe with colourful little nooks to eat in and friendly staff. The menu was huuuge so it was hard to decide! My partner and I tried two different burgers. He loved his “Vegconator” and I went for the BBQ oyster mushroom burger. The oyster mushroom wasn’t as crispy as it could be and ended up a little soggy and greasy, and the fries were tasty but came out cold. Overall pretty enjoyable though!

First meal in San Jose, Costa Rica, and that wasn’t the only reason why this place was memorable. Huacamole is a little cafe in the trendy and vibrant Barrio Escalante, a neighborhood known for its food scene and lively nightlife. Serves traditional fare such as empanadas and casados to burgers and pizzas. One thing for sure, quality and good vibes remain consistent.

A local vegan treasure with so many great options. The vibe is cool and the clientele are all locals. Service is a bit slow, though friendly waiter, but other than that a huge variety of food on the menu including cakes and frozen/chilled foods to go. A great vegan find. I had the chipotle oyster burger with salad which was a Cole slaw and a very large cappuccino with my pistachio cashew cheesecake.. yummy all around

My favorite restaurant in San José! - Edit
I love the Casado Vegano - it's the perfect meal. If you're feeling more indulgent, I'd recommend the Crunchy Wrap or the Nachos. Both are incredible! Here's a pic of my nachos. (I took a little bite before taking the pic. I couldn't help myself!) There are TONS of toppings, and the chips are crispy and fresh. I usually order to-go, and everything has always been well packaged in eco-friendly containers. Oh, and the Mac & Cheese is great, too! Definitely give this place a try!

Grateful for a 100% vegan restaurant/menu! Friendly staff, Spanish & English language, variety, juice & smoothies. I got the Chik'N sandwich with sweet potato fries and a Tropical drink, partner got their version of Crunchwrap Supreme and a Ginger drink. So fresh, so satisfying and fun, not greasy at all.

There is a big variety of meals to choose from. You can get bowls, burgers, and pizzas (just to name a few). The waitress was very nice and could speak good English which made the communication easier.
Read moreThe burger I chose was delicious, the beverage of the day (pineapple & ginger) was refreshing. There isn't really anything to complain about. The meals are not cheap but appropriate for what you get. The restaurant accepts credit and debit cards. You will also get free wifi if you ask for it.
If you are in San José and you are looking for a vegan restaurant, choose Huacamole. It will probably be worth it.
