A local vegan treasure with so many great options. The vibe is cool and the clientele are all locals. Service is a bit slow, though friendly waiter, but other than that a huge variety of food on the menu including cakes and frozen/chilled foods to go. A great vegan find. I had the chipotle oyster burger with salad which was a Cole slaw and a very large cappuccino with my pistachio cashew cheesecake.. yummy all around

My favorite restaurant in San José! - Edit
I love the Casado Vegano - it's the perfect meal. If you're feeling more indulgent, I'd recommend the Crunchy Wrap or the Nachos. Both are incredible! Here's a pic of my nachos. (I took a little bite before taking the pic. I couldn't help myself!) There are TONS of toppings, and the chips are crispy and fresh. I usually order to-go, and everything has always been well packaged in eco-friendly containers. Oh, and the Mac & Cheese is great, too! Definitely give this place a try!

Grateful for a 100% vegan restaurant/menu! Friendly staff, Spanish & English language, variety, juice & smoothies. I got the Chik'N sandwich with sweet potato fries and a Tropical drink, partner got their version of Crunchwrap Supreme and a Ginger drink. So fresh, so satisfying and fun, not greasy at all.

There is a big variety of meals to choose from. You can get bowls, burgers, and pizzas (just to name a few). The waitress was very nice and could speak good English which made the communication easier.
Read moreThe burger I chose was delicious, the beverage of the day (pineapple & ginger) was refreshing. There isn't really anything to complain about. The meals are not cheap but appropriate for what you get. The restaurant accepts credit and debit cards. You will also get free wifi if you ask for it.
If you are in San José and you are looking for a vegan restaurant, choose Huacamole. It will probably be worth it.

I was so excited to try this place, not sure if we got unlucky but the food was not good. Got the no fish tacos and oyster mushroom burger. The fried mushrooms in both were really overdone, they tasted burnt and there was zero mushroom flavour. Expected much higher standard for the price. The only saving grace was the yuca fries.

Had the most amazing burger here. The Oyster Chipotle burger was recommended by the server and was delicious. None of this fake vegan meat stuff, just layers of amazing breaded oyster mushrooms. The orea shake was also great. Wish I had more time in San José to try out their other options.

I had the pineapple express which had beyond, a thick pineapple slice and vegan deli slices. Good fries and vegan mayo. My parter had the oyster mushroom burger which I don't think was as good but very tasty.

I can't fault a single thing from Huacamole, I got the classic hotdog and my partner got the Choripan hotdog and they were both really well made and a great blend of flavours. The next day we got the crispy wrap with Mac n cheese and they were so good and so much food I had half for lunch and the rest for dinner. The cinnamon rolls are delicious too. Wouldn't miss this spot if you're in San José

We both had the 'chicken' burger. It was pretty good although a little disappointed by the cheese - stingy and a bit tasteless. The wedges and dip were nice. Overall a decent meal and I know its a nicer area but felt it didn't really justify the price tag.
Read moreWe arrived in time for opening as the business had informed us and yet when we arrived we were told that they didn't open until 12.30, not really sure what happened there! They let us browse the menu inside anyway. Not too much of a problem - just something to be aware of if in a rush.

Being a visitor to San Jose, finding this place was amazing. It's tucked away but well worth a visit! The Panko style Oyster Mushrooms were amazing. If you're vegan and not eating here you're missing out, if you're not vegan then you're still missing out it's that good. The staff were so lovely too, I was so tired and they really made me feel welcome.
