There are better vegan options and in SJO - Edit
Went once and had a burger. Didn’t like it. And the place is rather expensive in comparison with other vegan places in SJO.

I went here to celebrate my birthday but didn’t find it worth the high prices. The waitress told that everything on the menu is vegan - when I ordered pasta carbonara and specified to make it vegan, I was brought pasta with dairy cream and ham, and the chef had to remake the entire dish. Once I finally got to eat, the food was good but not amazing or super filling for what I paid. The cocktail selection was also not that impressive. Very nice atmosphere but for food quality, I would recommend one of the all-veg restaurants nearby.

They only had a handful of vegan options. After asking 3 times if a dish is possible to be made vegan, they brought it to us with sour cream. We had to change the whole order. It was good but I wouldn't go there again.

Great atmosphere with hanging plants, comfortable seating and enthusiastic staff. The cocktail bar offers specialty drinks with a flair such as their Moscow Mule served flaming at your table. The staff is knowledgeable about dishes and virtually every item is or can be made vegan.

The restaurant is absolutely beautiful and the menu is inventive. The food itself was good. However the waiter knew I was vegan, we talked about vegan cheese options, and I was still served animal cheese which is the sort of thing I'd expect from a carnist restaurant but seemed out of place for a restaurant as vegan friendly as this one. The dessert options were great and the tea I had was out of this world. I would definitely go back

Atmosphere was nice and cocktails were good, but the food was avarage. The vegie rainbow (basically rice wraps with just plain veggies and rice) were very bland. Soup de coco was ok.

The 'wings', cocktails, ambience, and service were great, but I'm rating this place low because of an item that we ordered that was a complete joke. As you can see from the photo I posted, the pickled sticks were literally 2 small pickle cucumbers probably cut into quarters, thinly sliced, and breaded. They were so thin that we couldn't taste the actual pickle. They also looked bigger in the menu.
Read moreWhile I realize this place is upmarket and expensive in general, this ridiculousness cost us $8USD! It shouldn't be selling for even half that amount. I felt really taken advantage of as a customer and I should have sent it back but we were enjoying our Sunday and didn't want to disrupt that. I looked at other tables and saw that their orders were properly portioned. I really hope they address this particular item and will have to look at that $8 as an unwilling tip. Not sure I want to give it another chance...

This place is fantastic. In a great neighborhood with a really inviting atmosphere. Tons of options, everything can be made vegan (if it’s not one of the other 100 options that are vegan.) The staff is very attentive and helpful. Truly a vegan paradise!

The restaurant is located in barrio escalante where there are a lot of restaurants but there is no one like samadhi the food is delicious and the service excellent
