My spouse and I both had the oyster mushroom based fish tacos and they were delicious. They were nice and crispy without being greasy. The server was super accommodating and was able to sub onion rings which were also delicious. In hindsight, we would’ve gotten 2 different dishes or shared - it was a lot of food. Definitely recommend and want to try other items next time. We also both had the Moscow Mules which were perfectly not too sweet.

This is one of, if not the only, vegan place in San Jose where you can find vegan comfort food like mac and cheese. I would recommend if you’re feeling like a treat; it is definitely not the healthiest vegan food you’ll find!

I had the soup of the day and my husband had the fried plantains with an assortment of dips for an appetizer. They were both delicious, but small portions, so good for an appetizer for one person. For example my tasty pumpkin soup was about a 1/2 cup for $5 US. We shared a Garlic Tomato pizza for our main, which was phenomenal and filling. I didn’t bring my phone or I would’ve taken photos.

We tried to order a bunch of things to our hotel. It was a HUGE hassle … they offer the service through their website but you cannot pay in cash upon delivery (suddenly).

And when we asked about PayPal they added over 8 USD fee and claimed 10% of the order would go to PP. Well, our order was about 56 USD and 10% of that is definitely less.
Then we were asked to go through Uber eats. There were no drivers.
Would have loved to try their food but this didn’t come out good at all.

We actually went today. We had quite high expectations from some reviews etc. We give them one more star.
The portions were really sizable and for Costa Rica good value for money.
The best was the caramel cookie drink with whipped cream and tapioca pearls. Although I saw the extremely long ingredient list of the whipped cream ... The patacones and yucca sticks were also good, could have used some more salt.
I did not enjoy the chicken burger as I thought it had a fishy taste and not the vegan Mac and cheese, which were way too salty and did not taste cheesy in my point of view.
We couldn't finish all of it and had to take the pizza with us in a container.
Overall good money - value ratio for Costa Rica, but we would explores other restaurant options before coming back first. Maybe for the ice chocolate drink.

A True Delight in San José - Edit
We went on a Monday night on our last night in San Jose really hoping that something would impress us as a send off from Costa Rica.

The Patacones were delicious. They are flattened and fried plantain crisps that are then topped with a trio of separate sauces: refried beans, avocado some of the most delightfully tart pico de gallo I’ve ever had.
I had the tacos supreme which had a soy meat and was a hard shell taco made with fried plantain as the “tortilla”.
The real show stopper though was the garlic and tomato pizza with added smoked ham. My partner said it was THE BEST pizza they’ve ever had and I’m inclined to agree.
Everything was very flavorful and INTENTIONAL. Costa Rica and San Jose should be very proud of this restaurant. The passionfruit cheesecake was just the perfect end to a perfect meal.
Do not miss this place in San Jose or in Costa Rica.
Pros: Service was prompt and attentive, Flavorful food , Great portions
Cons: I live in the US and this is in Costa Rica. , There are no other cons.

Loved this place. Amazing choice, friendly staff and lovely laid back vibe. Served mainly vegan junk food but has some less junky options. Is right next door to a vegan bakery too, which was an added bonus! We left feeling full and satisfied! Highly recommend a visit whilst in San Jose!
