I had a gluten free noodle which was very filling. The atmosphere was great too - you can sit in the roof terrace to appreciate the beautiful Cascais at the sunset😄

Read moreSmall menu to choose from. The host talks you through the choices when you enter on the ground floor and there are ready made dishes so they can show you what they look like. We were then told to go up one floor to order our drinks, which we did. And then we went up another floor to sit on the rooftop.
The setup is unusual but I liked that about it- it was quirky and very homemade.
The decoration is cute and vibrant. The restaurant is on a beautiful quiet street and there is a gorgeous decked area on the street which I believe also belongs to them.
We got upstairs to the vibrant and relaxed roof terrace. It got dark soon after which is a shame because it looked lovely up there. Lots of tables and cushions.
There were fairy lights but it was quite dark as I think some of the lights weren’t working but that’s ok. It was cute and cozy and they played nice atmospheric music up there
We were brought a pitcher of home made sangria which was lovely.
The restaurant is all vegetarian and I asked for mine to not have egg so it was vegan. The food was delicious. Traditional and comforting. All the staff speak very good English so they can communicate easily with people who share this language. The service was very good.
It was a lovely relaxed comfortable evening and I would go back for sure. It was November when we visited so it was very quiet. I bet it has a great buzzing atmosphere in summer.

Fui a este restaurante com pessoas não vegetarianas e todos adoraram. O "menu visual" deixa logo a água a crescer na boca (apesar de eu ficar a pensar que aqueles pratos vão acabar no lixo...). Tudo o que provámos era absolutamente delicioso, até os sumos naturais e sobremesas; o espaço é muito giro. Hei-de voltar certamente!

El restaurante tiene una terraza arriba desde la que se ve ligeramente el puerto. Hay 6 o 7 platos del día entre los que escoger (la mitad más o menos son veganos o se pueden veganizar). Lo bueno es que hay una muestra en real de cada plato por lo que puedes ver con tus ojos qué vas a comer. La chica que te atiende, no obstante, te los explica amablemente.

This is our favourite place in Portugal! - Edit
The food here is fresh and seasonal. If you're a health conscious vegan you will not be disappointed. You won't find a microwave here and everything is made fresh to order. The drinks are also great and the desserts! Coming back after 4 years and seeing they have expanded makes me so happy, more seating in both the roof terrace and square it's great! A definite must try and no doubt we will be back again!

Read moreThe food was very healthy and tasted good too but it was a bit of a free for all to get it, and it felt like we were being given a presentation beforehand to decide what to eat. There's no menu, but it's not a buffet, so you have to go up and select what you want and they dish it up for you.

The vegan options were colourful and so tasty. A implying curry and veg mezze with flatbread plus two vegan dessert. Smoothies were equally colourful and tasty. The roof terrace and friendly staff were the icing on the cake. Met other vegans on the terrace too!

Many vegan options, everything I tried was tasty and the proposed juices were very nice. I even got an extra portion has I just ran the Caiscais half-marathon beforehand 😄. All the staff members were remarkably friendly! A bit pricy but the quality is here.

The food & people are top notch in this gorgeous spot in Cascais. Atmosphere is beautiful, rooftop deck & other outdoor spaces are very relaxing. Fresh juices, creative & very healthy daily options to choose from & a set menu price to keep it simple. Large portions too & that’s saying a lot coming from an American 😁 The owner Anna is wonderful & friendly as well as everyone that works there. Highly recommend.

The food was really good. At lunch time there was four mains, two of which were vegan, and then you get a separate plate to fill from the buffet. The buffet had potato wedges, some salad and different vegetable dishes. It all tasted really good and the main food came quickly. The restaurant was a nice place to sit and the service was good. It’s maybe a bit expensive for what it is but then you can eat a lot of good quality food.

Terrible service - waitress insulted us - Edit
We had the misfortune of bumping into a very moody waitress that ruined our whole experience. We didn't get to sit considering how poorly we were treated when we asked her to focus only on the vegan dishes they served. The lady got very annoyed because we interrupted her line of thought and proceeded to treat us very unprofessionally.

We‘ve been to House of Wonders more than 20 times now and everytime we‘re amazed by the quality of the food, how nice everyone is and the ambiance. Oh and the sangria is the best!!!!Looking foward to the next time already!!
