Wish I could give it 5 stars!

UPDATE JUNE 2021 Haven is still as amazing as ever and they've just added a new breakfast menu which feature vegan options including nom banh chok which is a classic Khmer breakfast dish. check out the menu and pictures we’ve just uploaded 😊

Love this place, it's a real treat to go there and eat some of the best vegan food in town. The staff are super friendly and have a great understanding of veganism, the restaurant itself is beautifully designed so it's a wonderful place to eat and of course the fact that you can help local people train to get better skills is a bonus.

You won't find palm oil here, or plastic straws, these guys take sustainability seriously.

But the total star of the show is the food... particularly the rosti with creamy tofu and mushrooms. It's a Vegetarian dish normally but for vegans they can switch the cream for coconut cream and it's delicious.

The Khmer curries are also fabulous- I'd order them more often but I just can't get enough of the rosti. Served with a great sour tamarind sauce on the side which goes really well with the rich creamy coconut curry (full of tofu and veg).

They also have the most delicious vegan carrot cake full of cinnamon, fresh ginger and Kampot pepper, served with passion fruit sorbet. It was wonderfully moist and the portion size was generous. Instantly in love with it!

They were happy to make us a tofu satay (not in the menu) for starters - the satay sauce heaped over a stack of fried tofu fingers was excellent. Lovely crunchy peanut texture, a little chilli heat too... so much flavour!

Don't miss this place in Siem Reap (be sure to book because they get busy!)

Amazing restaurant and location!

I loved visiting Haven! I had vegan spring rolls that were absolutely delicious and a vegan dish of mixed veggies. Can’t forget the Mango Sorbet and vegan brownie! Would definitely visit again and try their other vegan option dishes😋😋!

A special place

What a wonderful place, just the nicest place to escape the bustle of Siem Reap. The service was friendly and prompt. The food very tasty.
Fresh spring rolls delicious. And crispy fries.

Pros: Vegan options, An oasis

Cons: Expensive compared to others, but worth it.

Truly a “Haven”!!

Even though we went here our first night, we returned the very next night because there were so many items on the menu we still wanted to try. The four of us ate family-style for apps and meals, and not a crumb was leftover. There was a neighborhood power outage, but the restaurant was running perfectly. Even though it was the off season, it was very busy, so a reservation is a good idea!

Pros: Huge menu, Very friendly staff, Supports local street kids

Fantastic Restaurant and Concept

I wish I could give this place 5 stars, but that's only reserved for fully veggie/vegan establishments. But it really deserves it. This restaurant was right around the corner from where we were staying, so it would have been a sin not to have dropped by for dinner. Firstly, it's an amazing idea to help disadvantaged young adults and the founders should be congratulated for initiating it. So although this was one of the more expensive meals we had in Cambodia, there were no complaints at all and we even left a generous tip to show our appreciation for the whole experience and help the organisation. Secondly, the food was seriously good. I mean seriously. There was plenty of veggie and vegan options, clearly marked on the menu. And it was some of the best veggie food I've had anywhere in the world and that's no lie. Thirdly, the service was impeccable. Very polite well-trained servers, who I hope will do stellarly in the big bad world, served us with perfection. Fourthly one of the founders came round to each table and chatted to all the diners and it was such a friendly atmosphere and experience, that it really brought smiles to our faces. Fifthly, the setting was fabulous. Good ambient lighting in pleasant surroundings and fans everywhere to keep you cool. Sixthly, did I mention the food? I rarely roll my eyes heavenward when I put a tasty treat in my mouth, but that Khmer Curry was truly divine. As were all the courses we had and that banana crumble..... Again my eyes rolled towards the heavens.... So that's 6 reasons NOT to miss out on this place when you're in town....

Pros: Deliciousness all around , Great selection of dishes, Fabulous ambiance

Cons: None

Amazing dinner!

Probably the best dinner we ate in SR! Visited late one evening, around 830 and still had to wait a couple of minutes for a table for four such is the popularity of this place. The setting is fab, almost all outside but sheltered with lots of plants and fans, great chilled vibes.

We were three vegetarians and one vegan and had far too much choice! Foot is mainly Khmer or Khmer style eg sandwiches and burgers, with some European dishes. In the end we had the Khmer curry, both tofu stir fries (ginger veg and tofu and tofu cashew) and the tofu satay sandwich. The mains were great but dessert really stole the show, we shared the rice dumplings in coconut milk and the dark chocolate sorbet and they were amazing! We actually wanted to order more when we tasted it but sadly the kitchen had closed. Probably at the higher end of prices in SR but frankly still great value with four mains, two deserts and four beers coming in at $40 and it was flipping good!

The service was super friendly and attentive, there are also nice touches like information boards about responsible tourism.

We had tried to book on the day but was already full, they do keep tables for walk ins but definitely book if you’re set in going!

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Menu clearly labelled

Great setting with wonderful staff and amazing food

Amazed this place has so few reviews as the food is definitely some of the best we have had in SE Asia. There are plenty of options to keep both vegetarians & vegans happy. The pricing is a tiny bit more than other restaurants but the quality more than justifies that. Tofu Rosti was the winner.

Pros: Staff, Tofu Rosti

Had an awesome lunch here. The ambiance is beautiful and the staff are so lovely. I had the grilled corn starter and the vegetable ginger tofu dish. The flavours were amazing and portion sizes were perfect! Must visit place if you are vego/vegan and my omni friends loved it too! Will be back for sure.

Best in Siem Reap

I have been living in Siem Reap for 4 years now and I am a vegetarian. I have tried most of the many restaurants that cater for my needs and although there are some very good choices for me Haven has always been my favourite.
Not only is the food excellent but the whole dining experience is so excellent.

Starting with the wonderful greeting you get when you arrive which makes you feel you are truly valued as a customer.

The waiting staff make you feel very at home from the minute you sit down. They are not just trained to wait on table but also to give first class customer service.

Then there is the food itself great choices and very varied. From western food to Khmer food there are so many nice meals to choose from and none have disappointment.

I find Haven the perfect place for a quiet meal or a celebration. I love it.

Pros: Great food, Great Staff, Wonderful setting

Cons: It's so popular you need to book in advance.

Great cause, yummy food

This place feels really special, both in terms of its ethos and its actual setting. Lovely venue with incredibly kind and helpful staff. The food was yummy and there were vegan and veggie options a-plenty. The servings weren't overly generous (I need my rice, people!), but they were definitely tasty!

Wonderful and a great cause!

Training restaurant for vulnerable Cambodian youth, the staff and chefs are all young locals. It's run by a Swiss couple and while they serve meat, the owner is vegan and the menu clearly lists items that are vegetarian/vegan (it even mentions that the cheese contains animal rennet). The vegetarian amok was excellent and the pumpkin veggie burger was amazing. Highly recommend! (p.s., I'd give it five stars, but HC only allows 4 stars for a non-veg place).

Pros: Great food, Great cause, Owner is vegan

Cons: Outside of the city center (a pro?)
