Harry’s at 387 - Edit
Congratulations, you’re number one, I’d like to thank you for a job well done!!!! (Condragulations!). I love all the Ru Paul references on the menu and the incredibly lovely staff. The mission/cause of this place is also very heartwarming.
Read moreThe food was absolutely incredible! We ordered the Harry’s breakfast with soda bread (can’t remember the exact name) and absolutely loved it. I’ve never had soda bread before and was quite impressed. The vegan chicken sandwich was also extremely tasty and had a nice crunch on the outside and great texture on the inside.
Only con is the restaurant is only open 4 days a week. Otherwise, we would have stopped by a few more times.
Don’t miss this place!

Uniquely cheering as well as delicious - Edit
This time we were in Belfast for my partner's birthday and at minimal notice Harry's made us a family-sized iced and decorated birthday cake of considerable weight but light on price. Delicious, too, of course. Portion size - I wouldn't call it control - varies from large to huge (sarnies with enough filling for two - the super yeggy tofu seemed to have about half a pound per sarnie) and it's real food, not fake meat out of a chemical factory. I saw one woman with a scone the size of her plate - they had to put the spread and jam pots separately. And the soda farls are out of this world. As for the staff, they're simply fabulous - so enthusiastic and eager to help, delighted to see a new customer rather than the attitude sometimes seen elsewhere. There isn't any other wholly vegan place in Belfast right now anyway. Next time we're over we plan to visit the original restaurant and community centre in Ballynahinch, birthplace of my father-in-law.

Cons: wish Harry's was open every day, with a branch in every town

Great vegan cafe - Edit
Ormeau Road has a lot of cafes and Harry's is the best one for vegan options, in that everything is plant based.
Read moreThere are too many sweet treats to attempt in one go, so multiple visits are required.
Breakfasts are fantastic as well. The big bap is highly recommended.
Worth repeated visits

The best - Edit
My favourite place in Belfast. For a small venue they really have a brilliant menu. My favourite is the tofu egg, but honestly everything I’ve tried is amazing. They add new items all the time, so recently I’ve had the mac n cheeze, wedges and the cauliflower cheeze. The portion sizes are very generous. They have some takeaway items too, like their cheezecakes, soda and wheaten bread plus pies.

A winner - Edit
Fantastic to have this vegan eatery in Belfast. I was already a fan of the Ballynahinch branch so interested to try the much smaller Ormeau Road branch. Unfortunately on arrival we were informed that the kitchen was closed as the owner had to leave. We were so keen that we enquired further and in reality there were lots of things available from the display cabinet and fridge. I had an amazing tofu sandwich in the style of egg mayo and a salad bowl. My eyes were bigger than my stomach so I didn’t get to sample any of the sweet treats today but there was a huge variety of sweet goodies on display. There were also mini quiches, pies and sausage rolls available and hot drinks even with the kitchen closed. Highly recommend.

Their good and service is a 10/10 as always, and couldn't have imagined a better team to take over the original 387 cafe.

Harry's part deux - Edit
Have been going to their first place (Ballynahinch) for a few years now, basically it's a totally vegan chip shop and bakery that offers a little something for everyone.
Read moreIt has the added bonus of existing as a community interest company, meaning that there is an extra side to the cafe.
Food is great. It's hearty, chip shop items and wraps with soup. Menu seems slightly smaller than Ballynahinch cafe. Something really for everyone, and to be honest if they didn't say it was vegan you probably wouldn't know for every item.
There's also less seating. This will likely be their main issue - it seems to have the success it deserves.
It was absolutely full up on my recent visit - so got some stuff to go. All of the food I recognize and all of it I can recommend. It's a lot more centrally located than their other one and I really do suggest you try both. They are worth the trip. Especially now there aren't many exclusively vegan or vegetarian places left in the country!
Pros: Fully 100% vegan , All tasty: no jelly-like fake meats or giant mush
Cons: Busy!
