Everything great - Edit
I've celebrated my wedding at Villa Vrindavana and we had lunch at the Govinda. Everything was absolutely perfect, from the appetizers to the homemade seitan with roasted potatoes. Also the cake was perfect and the devotees who served us were so kind. I would merry again to have another lunch Like that😄

Really beautiful and peacefull place - Edit
Govinda’s restaurant is located in a portion of Villa Vrindavana, one of the major center of Hare Krishna community in Italy.
Read moreThe villa is very beautiful (a XVI century old Florentine villa) with a big park where you can freely walk around.
To come in to the villa you have to use the main entrance: a big iron gate that is always open with a plate that says ISKCON. Go inside with the car until you find a parking lot in front of the villa. The restaurant is in the rear (passage through a stair under an arch) faced to a small garden where you can eat in summer season.
The restaurant has been restored and is runned by a family of devotees very unformal and friendly. It is open to all people on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
The menù is mainly composed of Indian style dishes with some Italian dishes. You can choose by a menu list or ask to the devotees if they have some special plates of the day. The food is spicy but not particularly hot. For dessert, I suggest to try “Laddu” a cake made with roasted chickpea flour with butter and hazelnut: delicious.
You won’t find alcohols and coffee but very good aromatic non- alcoholic drinks.
Price is inexpensive (15-20 euros per person to fell filled to the max).
If are experiencing curiosity not only for the food but also for the devotees’ life, you may visit the Temple and the shop (that sells original Indian manufactures) or simply ask to one of the devotees that is walking around.
Pros: Beatiful place, Unformal and relaxing
Cons: Open only on weekend
