This restaurant can make almost any item vegan. We loved the boa buns. The sweet potatoes and seitan and so fresh salad were a step above. Highly recommend.

We visited Gives a Fork for dinner during our short stay in Geneva. It's a lovely little place where most everything is vegan or can be made vegan on request. With lots of tasty sounding small plates on offer, choosing was the hardest part! The friendly waitress suggested the chan clan mushrooms, the spicy noodles and the rendang curry would be enough for two hungry people. We topped up with some rice & naan bread and it turned out to be just the right amount of food. Everything was very tasty too and reasonable value for Geneva at CHF72 for two excluding drinks & tip. We had a great time!

Le pain pita avec les pleurotes est délicieux, mais il manquait de sauce et le service est très lent et désinvolte. Le serveur s'est expliqué en nous disant qu'il était seul, mais nous avons été pas mal négligées quand même.

Flavoursome Dishes - Edit
We found the vegan scene in Geneva a little uninspired, and this place was our top pick in the city. It's all vegetarian, but the vegan options are plenty and are clearly labelled. There are small plates, tacos, and main dishes. We followed our server's advice and got three small dishes and two taco dishes to share (one of the small dishes was a vegetarian one for the non-vegan in our group, so I'm not reviewing it here). That made for a slightly light meal for us - if we'd come in hungry, we definitely would have needed one more plate.
Read moreWe loved the chan clan, which was crispy mushrooms with satay sauce. The coating was very crispy and thin, and the satay was really flavoursome. The mushrooms weren't swimming in sauce, so they kept their crispiness and had a nice texture.
The pop it like it's hot was also really good. It is basically pani puri. All the components were nice and tasty, especially the potato and spicy chutney. It was a bit lacking in texture though, we thought that some potato chunks would have been better than a smooth puree.
We also got the rendang and harmony tacos. I'm not sure why there were two layers of taco! The rendang was really well seasoned and I loved the texture of the meat.
And perhaps my favourite was the happy tacos. The beer battered tofu was excellent, the batter was so well seasoned. The other components were tasty too, it was a well balanced bite.
There is indoor and outdoor seating. Service was welcoming and fast. It was a popular spot, you might want to book a table.

One of the best in Geneva - Edit
Everything at gives a Fork tastes fantastic - really interesting and punchy flavours, very nice textures (crispy fried mushrooms!), and overall very well thought out dishes. The tiny improvement I would have wished for would have been corn tacos (they have the softer wheat ones), but then the filling was so tasty that it didn't really matter.

We had the breaded and fried mushrooms, taco's and a dessert with granola and chocolate and everything was so tasty. They've got very original flavours. We'll definitely come back to taste the other vegan options on their menu. Great find!

Great food, we ordered 3 biggies and they are one of the best fusion I have ever tried. But atmosphere... Omg, very noisy music and people we decided to eat outside cause it was impossible to emjoy the food or talk and outside people smoking weed, yelling out, etc. Perhaps you may like it but not my type.

Delicious Asian fusion food. Not the best value for money - Edit
Really tasty rendang curry and avocado burger. Only complaint about the burger was that the jackfruit was really fibrous. So quite hard to eat at times. Burger didn’t come with fries and the portions are a little small but would return to try more things on the menu. Smoothies/milkshakes looked amazing but only available at the weekend.

Those mushrooms are amazing, we had them in a naan plate and the flavours and textures were phenomenal. We also had the happy tacos which I made vegan, these were good but a bit pricey for the size. The staff were really friendly also. The brunch looked great but wasn't able to get back in the morning.

Read moreFirst off, we arrived early evening at the restaurant on a Saturday without a reservation. Our point of contact- the owner?- was absolutely gracious. He offered up a table in a quiet corner, and let us know by what time we needed to leave as there was another reservation on that table. There was plenty of time, and we appreciated his flexibility.
As for the food, it was delicious and innovative, and presented in such an artful manner. We had three appetizers, two entrées, and one dessert. We liked that the portions were not overly large because it allowed us to order more and test out different offerings on the menu.
Among the appetizers, the semolina popovers were the most complex, while the guacamole was down to earth. We enjoyed the tacos with tofu.
Quite simply, it was a grand evening.

Super disappointed: I went there for lunch on a weekday aaaand… found out that they basically had ONE dish (yes, 1). A cauliflower curry. Nothing else on their menu. I just don’t get it. On their website and on Google maps they talk about other foods, their « famous » cinnamon rolls… the guy told me that they only had this for brunch on the weekends. Anyway, the place was completely empty. I didn’t feel welcomed.

It’s honestly impressive how much effort you put into missing the point. Let’s break it down: our lunch was a one-month trial (that’s right, one month), offering a single dish at 12 CHF to give the local community a chance to try plant-based food. And let’s not forget, we’re in a city where three places shut down last year, and we’re now one of only four spots still offering plant-based food. But instead of appreciating that, you chose to come in, ignore the info on our site, disregard the info our team member gave you, and turn your experience into a pity party over one dish. (Which, by the way, had you actually tried it, you’d probably have enjoyed it.)

I have eaten brunch several times at the (now not so new) location in Junction. Enjoy my meal every single time, food is excellent, dishes are high in protein and filling. The terrace is my favourite place to sit, and I am loving the addition of the Monstera leaf blankets to keep warm now it is getting colder. I plan to come soon to try the evening service, as it was always excellent in the old location in Eaux Vives.

The vegan community in Geneva has lost several vegan restaurants this year, and we simply cannot afford to lose Gives A Fork, chef Q and her creativity. The fact that everything on the menu is available as a vegan option also makes the experience not all that different to how it was before.

The restaurant is announced as open until 22:30. We arrived at 21:40 and entered, the girl that should normally be at the reception desk stood with her back to the door, talking with someone in the kitchen.
Read moreI said "good evening" - no reply. She continued talking. I waited for a few minutes, walked around to see the place, and said again "good evening"- but no notice. Then I waited a few more minutes, read the menu, and called her again, but- no response.
Then I went to the door to just get out of there, and only then she turned around and talked to me. I asked if it was possible to order take aways - and she said with a phony sweet voice "oh I'm so sorry the kitchen just closed" (it was 21:50). I actually spent 10 minutes standing there for nothing, only to learn that the kitchen closes more than 30 minutes before the announced time.
I really cherish vegan initiatives and there are not many of them in Geneva, so I feel bad to report this negative experience, but they really need to make sure the people they hire are motivated and do their job well.

A creative menu with unique flavour combinations. I went for the mushroom seitan (don’t expect a usual seitan texture) in a creamy but light, delicious sauce. Staff were lovely and knowledgeable, providing lots of garlic and onion free options for me.
