ok it's a shape of a flower, ok vegan flavour, but ... the vegan flavours were just the sorbet, just like everywhere. we waited a long time, paid quite a bit, for an ice cream shaped as a flower ... not worth the time and the money. if you take in a cup, they dont make the flower shape

Gelarto Rosa is even better than the last time I was here as a non vegan years ago. I love that, save for maybe 2-3 flavors, almost all of it is vegan. They have hands down the best pistachio gelato I've tasted anywhere, vegan or otherwise. It has such a warm and nutty flavor that there's no way you can mistake it for anything other than pistachio. And then there's their fruit gelatos which just bursts with this brightness that makes you feel like you're eating the actual fruit. The employees are also incredibly helpful and patient even when the shop gets busy. I should have been here everyday during my stay in Budapest, I deeply regret that I wasn't.

Popped in before going to view St. Stephen’s Basilica. Loads of options, vegan ones are clearly marked and the cones are vegan. It’s really busy but the queues go quite quick.

Rose-shaped ice cream is nothing new and has been done by Amorino for a long time. However, Amorino let you choose an infinite amount of flavors (one per petal) whereas Gelarto Rosa allows one flavor per "layer."
Read moreThere are several vegan flavors. We tried raspberry and mango which were delicious and really refreshing, and chocolate/raspberyy and strawberry/elderberry. The mixed flavors were not as good, but definitely not bad either. I would suggest, however, to stick to the more traditional flavors.
There's another Gelarto Rosa a few meters from this location which also has bottled fruit juices.
Pros: Several vegan flavors
Cons: The experimental flavors are not that great, Concept taken from another chain
