Wacky Fair Foods - Edit
I was in Philly for a week so I decided to visit the Reading Terminal Market. I noticed this vendor had vegan options and decided to give them a try.
Read moreI had their corn dog and the vegan banana funnel cake. The corn dog was pretty standard, the impossible sausage was more of an italian sausage than a frankfurter but it was still good.
The vegan banana funnel cake was a lot bigger than I anticipated. Definitely share with a friend. But it was absolutely delicious.

Amazing Corn Dog - Edit
I was skeptical, but wow is the corn dog tasty. The Beyond meat bumped it up closer to $10 for the regular corn dog, but would happily do it again.

Avoid the Poutine, Aim for Corndogs - Edit
Poutine was a bit interesting. They just cut up Vegan cheese in blocks for the cheese curds. I mean it’s nice I guess getting a charcuterie’s worth of cheese in there but vegan cheese isn’t meant to be eaten like that. The brown gravy was also extremely salty. Vegan corn dog looked good- they offer a Beyond dog and you can choose traditional or vegan batter. I got excited about the poutine but was left disappointed.

Banana Funnel Cakes and Corn Dogs - Edit
I have been craving funnel cake for a really long time and Fox & Son Fancy Corndogs came to the rescue! I have not had funnel cake in forever, so being able to have a vegan and gluten-free funnel cake made me very happy. Everything is naturally gluten-free and most of the menu can be made vegan. I also got a Beyond Meat corn dog made with dairy and egg free batter. Absolutely delicious and very filling! Definitely worth a visit to the Reading Terminal Market to have the fair foods we loved during our childhood!

Love the broccoli bites!!! - Edit
***Updating: I returned today to order the broccoli bites again. I asked once again to confirm that these bites were vegan. Although they make a vegan version, they are cooked in the same oil as the other options so there may be a slight mix with eggs and dairy. Unfortunately, the bites will be a no-go for me from now on.***
Read moreGreat staff, and I’m glad that I was able to support a business at Reading Terminal. I wish I could have sat there right away to eat it, but I had to take my food home due to the pandemic. The poutine smelled fabulous when I received it, but it was ok when I had it at home. It may not reheat well. However, the broccoli bites were fabulous...go figure. I highly recommend trying them, and I will support them again.
Pros: Interesting vegan options , Good prices
Cons: Cooked in same oil w/items containing egg & dairy

Pretty good for a corndog - Edit
These corndogs are large & filling! I enjoyed their sauces as well, but could not differentiate the flavors of two of them (they tasted very similar). I really enjoyed the breading.

Not bad as far as corn dogs go - Edit
It was fun to eat a vegan corn dog. But it also reminded me that I don't care much about corn dogs. :)

Just the corn dogs - Edit
The corn dogs are amazing that I crave them, the “cheese” on the poutine wasn’t good and overall very salty. The “cheese” bites weren’t as good neither

Hot diggity dog - Edit
When you are working a convention, you want fast, good food that fills you for hours. Fox and Son delivered - although the friend that went and ordered for me said the line was super long! They are located within reading terminal market, which also has an all vegan deli!
Read moreIn terms of their menu, they have a vegan corn dog, vegan poutine (!!!!!!!!!) and even vegan FUNNEL CAKE, Y'ALL. I was over the moon and the food was SO GOOD! I do wish they would make some of their special batters vegan, in the future.
I try not to give 4/4 reviews for non-veg places with limited options, but honestly their poutine just knocked it out of the park for me. Food more than makes up for the shortcomings, and I hope they expand their vegan options over time!
Pros: Amazing food
Cons: Limited options, Long lines

Finally! - Edit
I had the vegan corn dog and funnel cake. Delicious, and very friendly service. It’s been more than 18 years since I tasted either of these foods. I don’t care that they don’t have the right facility to keep a separate vegan fryer.
