Das Essen war unglaublich lecker und auch mal was anderes, und das die Speisen teuer sind ok. Aber das ein 0,33l Wasser 4€ kostet liegt nicht daran, dass das Wasser so gut ist.

I would like to come back and try again. I was excited to try vegan German food and picked perhaps the most plain dish on the menu, the chicken schnitzel, as well as the cheese plate, which was oil-based cheese wedges battered and deep fried. Neither was anything to write home about, with the exception of the potato salad that came with the schnitzel, which was quite nice and distinct.
Read moreThe guy working was so friendly and charming, and looking at the pictures on here I'm realizing that there are a ton of dishes I'd very much like to try. The schnitzel wasn't bad, it just wasn't exciting, so if you have one chance to eat here, I recommend you be more adventurous than I was.

Delicious vegan food in P‘berg. - Edit
Completely vegan restaurant on Dunkerstraße in Prenzlauer Berg. Kittchen is german/european inspired. Besides their daily special and their regular menu they have a seasonal menu (at the moment dishes with chanterelles).
Read moreAs a starter we had vegan cheese wedges with lingonberries and vitello tonnato vegan roast cold cuts with
"tuna sauce" and capers. Both were super tasty. As main dish we had soy Schnitzel vienna style with potato salad, cucumber salad and lingonberries, spinach and salmon lasagna (dish of the week) and sautéed potatoes and chanterelles from the seasonal menu. Everything was delicious.
All in all a very, very good restaurant, highly recommended.

Tout était parfait, on a pris un tartare de « saumon » juste bluffant ! Que ce soit en terme d’esthétique, de goût ou de texture, faire la distinction avec du le saumon le poisson et ce faux saumon semble quasi impossible ! Et les plats étaient tout simplement divins ! Je recommande fortement

I am not a fan of dishes that mimic meat so I didn't try any of the schnitzel/wurst etc.
Read moreHowever the other options are satisfying: there is a soup of the day which can be a good options if yoûre not into meat-like options, and the fried camembert is also very good.
The waiter prepared more tiramisu for us because there wasn't any left and if was very savoury, sweet, and light.
Downsides: having to pay for water (not specific to this place but rather annoying, especially during heat waves), small portions and a rather high price.
The place was not too loud so this was a plus.

Ich war nun schon sehr oft im Försters und finde es, wie der Titel schon sagt, mal so, mal so. Für das heutige Essen würde ich nur 3 Sterne geben. Zum einen war das Schnitzel extrem dünn (dünner als sonst), und die Panade des Schnitzels war teilweise so hart, dass man es nur mit roher Gewalt schneiden konnte.

Warum dann also 4 Sterne? Weil ich weiß, dass das Försters es auch anders kann. Ich bin schon so oft begeistert aus diesem Restaurant gegangen, weil das Essen wirklich sehr lecker sein kann. Dafür hätte ich eine glatte 5/5 gegeben.
Ich habe auch schon vieles von der Karte probiert und war in 85 % der Fälle zufrieden. Genau das, was ich hier beschreibe, spiegelt sich auch in den anderen Reviews wider. Einige waren an den guten Tagen da, andere an den schlechten.
Die Qualitätsschwankungen sind hier leider sehr ausgeprägt.

This used to be my favourite vegan restaurant in Berlin and I used to go there regularly, but in the last year or so both the food and the service have been going downhill. Last time we were there I ordered the Roulade and it was unexplainably dry. They forgot to bring us the entrée, proceeding directly with the main course, and the beer was served over the counter (our table was right next to it) rather than brought to the table, and the waiter/barman was holding the glass at the top, where you put your mouth.

Vegane typisch deutsche Küche in Berlin - Edit
Ich hatte gestern bereits zum zweiten mal einen sehr schönen Abend im Försters. Probiert habe ich schon die Roulade sowie von der aktuellen Sonderkarte die Lendchen mit Rotweinsauce, Kartoffel-Mandel-Bällchen und Pastinaken-Gemüse. Es war jedes mal sehr lecker, das Personal freundlich und kompetent sowie Preis-Leistung angemessen. Ich hatte selbst nicht das Pistazien-Tiramisu von der aktuellen Sonderkarte. Das hat jedoch auch sehr lecker ausgesehen.

There aren't many vegan restaurants in Berlin serving traditional german food, so this is a nice spot if you're looking for it.

It's bit pricey though. I think it's a good experience if you feel like trying it out, but not a spot I'd go so often. It's more expensive than other vegan restaurants that I think also offer excellent food.

Unser Besuch war leider eher enttäuschend. Beim Service ist einiges schief gelaufen, nicht nur an unserem Tisch. Besteck kam viel zu spät, mein Essen dann leider kalt. Keine Entschädigung angeboten, ist dann halt so. Essen kam auch bei zwei Personen nicht zur gleichen Zeit.

Read moreThe only reason why I give 4 is because the 'duck breast' (and other dishes I saw on other people's tables) was very similar to real meat. While this is an excellent option for clients like my partner (who is not vegan but tries his best to reduce meat consumption), for me it was a bit challenging as I stopped eating meat 25 years go.

Delicious restaurant with beautifully cooked dishes — the sauces and seasoning were honestly perfect. It is on the pricier side, but you can clearly see why once the food arrives. Service was pleasant too. The desserts, however, didn’t win me over: quite heavy and really expensive. I was also disappointed that we couldn’t order a coffee at 9 pm because the machine had already been turned off, even though the restaurant closes at 11. We were the last customers, sure, but it would have been nice to be offered coffee (or even the dessert menu) right after our meal instead of being ignored.

Read moreWe had the soy schnitzel (very nice and crispy), chicken schnitzel (not for me as very realistic), tartar (tasty), cheese wedges (nice but small), chocolate cake (ok) and speculoos tiramisu (very nice and unexpectedly large portion).
Only negatives are the price, which is probably a tiny bit too much for the quality, the mains could have done with more vegetables, and the desserts had way too much cinnamon!
Also had musicians playing throughout the evening, but I'm not sure if they were actually paid by the restaurant lol.
