Absolutely FANTASTIC - Edit
It's not entirely vegan (but pretty much) the menu is 99% vegan and first time 'ever' that from starter to dessert I had enjoyed every last bit. The soup was incredible (courgette and rosemary) and the rest as well, I am just so impressed I can't say better than that haha. Which I could go back but it's for a proper night out, so count about £40 a head if you want a full on menu.

Wonderful restaurant - Edit
We ate here last weekend and it was just perfect. One of my favourite meals we have eaten out. Every course was delicious - especially the zucchini cannelloni - and the service was great. The staff all seemed to understand our needs as vegans, which was nice too. Fantastic value for money given the quality of food and service offered.

A Perfect Meal - Edit
Took my partner here in our last evening in the Lakes hoping that it would be a highlight and it completely outdid my expectations. I was surprised by how classy it was inside with lovely dim lighting and a formal but relaxed ambience. The presentation was really nice and the table service was really top notch. The vegan options were not as extensive as I hoped they could have been but the ones available were really good. The menu looks like it changes regularly too. This is definitely the grown up sister to Zeffirelli's.

Excellent vegan food - Edit
Really enjoyed eating here. For starters, I had broccoli, celery and almond soup and it was tasty. For main, had the nut roast rolled with courgette with fondant potatoes and red wine jus. Was delicious and hearty. Just what I needed on a chilly autumn evening! I usually find eating out as a vegan a disappointing but this place has restored my faith! My boyfriend enjoyed his vegetarian meal a lot too. We got the cinema deal (2 courses and a ticket to the cinema for £23.75 each)

I have eaten here on two occassions and both visits have been excellent. The seasonal menu is thoughtful and well-executed, with a good selection for vegans. The wine selection is also very good, with vegan wines clearly indicated in the menu. Service is attentive, efficient and friendly - it is a joy to dine at Fellinis!

Interesting and delicious 😋 - Edit
My wife took me here for our anniversary meal and it didn't dissapoint. The food was both delicious and interesting, with perfect size portions and plenty of choice for vegans. If we were staying in the town I would have loved to do the movie package.

Outstanding food with plenty of vegan options. Very helpful staff. Presentation of food excellent. Quieter than Zefferellis though didn’t lack atmosphere. Overall enjoyed food very much & look forward to returning

interesting, exciting menu - Edit
It was a pleasure to be offered so many options, making a choice was difficult. Lots of vegan options including nut roast with veg and potato. The presentation was great, and food was delicious. Unfortunately portions are so small that even after 3 courses I left hungry. This is a great shame and I hope the chef rectifies this. I wouldn't mind paying for this quite expensive food, as the quality is good, but there would need to be more of it. - I am not an excessively large eater!

Veggie Fine Dining - Edit
Truly excellent cuisine, definitely amongst the best that we have had, both here and abroad. Also the prices are very reasonable for food of this quality. The menu is not extensive, just four choices for each course, but that is ideal as it means the food is all cooked fresh, prepared and presented with care. The organic/ veggie/vegan wine list is, again, not lengthy, but has a good range both in provenance and price.

We took advantage of the super bundles comprising the meals here, the local cinemas, and accommodation at the Ambleside Manor (veggie B+B). Good deal all round.
Pros: Excellent food., Reasonably priced., Good wine list.

Disappointed - Edit
The appraisers looked and tasted really good. The main courses looked like art work but sadly were average tasting at best. When the server asked how everything was my wife said ‘okay a little salty but not bad.’ The server lost all composure and started to lecture us about how we should talk about food. She was very angry and it really was the oddest restaurant experience I’ve ever had.

There are 2 restaurant by the same owners. We chose this one first and regretted it. The manager was slightly snobbish. No atmosphere. The tables too close together. The food was beautifully presented with lots of options but not delicious. It was just good. Not worth the price. Sister restaurant is a lot better which we later discovered

Lovely food in a beautiful village - Edit
We went to Fellini's on a Sun evening. Initially we had a reservation for 8 but were able to change it to 6.30 and even though we arrived early they accommodated us. The restaurant was pretty full when we left. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The asparagus, orange starter salad was fresh and crunchy and the vegan moussaka tasty and filling. I could have done with more of the soy yoghurt tzaziki sauce though. The poached pear desert was light and delicious and they even served anextremely yummy chocolat with my espresso. All the wines and beers are clearly marked vegan or vegetarian. The decor of the restaurant is a bit dated bit the food is absolutely delicious!

Lovely looking interior and wonderfully presented food to match. Plenty of vegan options and even kept my meat-free partner happy with the quality of the food. Not the best I've ever had, but good meal overall. Little expensive but good for a special occasion.

Fancy - Edit
Fellinis is generally more upmarket and pretentious than Zeffirellis; dishes with French names, experimental food combinations etc. Having said that, the food is usually delicious so there's not much to complain about. It is rather more expensive than Zeffirellis as you'd expect. It too has a cinema upstairs. The wheelchair accessible toilet isn't up to much; the fancy ones downstairs are suitably sophisticated.

Bellisimo! - Edit
Fabulous place, a bit more upmarket than Zefferellis (owned by the same people). The cinema and meal deal is fantastic value but do be warned. adding wine can really bump the price up! Had fantastic service the last time we were there and the food was delicious. It's not somewhere to go if you're starving, the portions are on the haute cuisine side but for a special occasion Fellinis is wonderful, highly recommended.

With fantasy - Edit
When we arrived to the restaurant there were no free tables however there is a bar upstairs where we had a drink while waiting.
Read moreThe food we ordered was very colourful, the vegan options are not marked, I don't think there were too many however they made some adjustments to make the dishes vegan. I had mushrooms for the starter (the sauce had to be different that the one in the menu) dish looked fantastic and it tasted even better (a little too oily thou). For the main course I took staffed cabbage which looked very fresh (vegetables where only steamed) and the taste was fantastic as well.
I would really recommend this restaurant.
Pros: very fresh food, very good service
Cons: starter a little too oily
