Taiwanese ice cream shop on Cijin island off Kaohsiung. Offers dairy as well a few non-dairy based flavors like taro, red bean, and lemon--served by the scoop in cold red tea. Think rootbeer float but Taiwan style. NOTE: Reported March 2025 to have limited vegan options – please send updates to HappyCow.

Clearly marked vegan options - Edit
Tried Bonsai with a party of 6. It catered well to vegans and non-vegans alike. Lots of marked vegan options, though use discernment with the vegan listings because the sushi boat is marked vegan, but didn’t appear to have vegan options included. The staff seem to understand vegan, so check with them.
Read moreThe spring rolls, edamame, vegetarian sushi roll, veggie and tofu stir fry (specify no oyster sauce), and veggie gyoza were all delicious. It seems like there aren’t a ton of options that include tofu in Dubrovnik, so it was nice to enjoy some tofu at Bonsai!
Pros: Good service , Marked vegan options , Tofu!
Cons: Sushi boat labeled vegan but isn’t vegan , Veggie/tofu stir fry says vegan, has oyster sauce

Don’t know why HappyCow listed this as an ice cream shop in Taiwan. The place is in Dubrovnik, Croatia and is called Bonsai.
