Feeling disappointed.

We liked the Bibimbap so much until we ordered a hot soup and was informed by staff that it contained fish when we found it fishy despite telling them we do not take all kinds of seafood.

Great way to try Korean food.

I really wanted to try Korean food but being vegetarian, this was easier said than done. So, I was very happy to find the listing for this place and had dinner there recently. It's basically a set menu but you order a 'main'. I chose the lotus leaf rice, which was delicious. It came with a variety of smaller dishes. I particularly enjoyed the little savory pancakes and collard greens.

The restaurant is located in a traditional Korean building, set in a beautiful garden. The only possible downside is that seating is on the floor which is a problem for those of us less nimble souls! It was a smidge difficult getting up off the cushion but not enough to ruin my night.

Pros: Traditional Korean food., Beautiful setting.

delicious vegan food in beautiful, traditional setting!

dasoni is truly a treasure! every dish we ordered was absolutely delicious. it was really special to be able to eat traditional korean dishes that were made vegan :) the staff understood what ‘vegan’ means, and showed us our options. the side dishes were also outstanding. the restaurant itself is in a beautiful and bright hanok-style building, and was easy to find. the prices were also very reasonable - our entire feast cost 25,000 krw!

Pros: wonderful vegan options, beautiful atmosphere , excellent prices

Delicious Korean food with lovely decor

This place was so refreshing after struggling to find vegetarian food on Jeju. The bibimbap and side dishes were so good I went the next night for the same meal. The portions are huge with all the side dishes so definitely come hungry. For 8000 won I would eat here every day if I could!

Beautiful rustic restaurant

This restaurant was so relaxing! 2 of the walls are completely glass so you get beautiful views while you eat your food! The walkway up to the restaurant was beautiful. The food was delicious. The staff was so welcoming and friendly. The rustic decor was so awesome! I loved it and we'll definitely be back while we're here!

Pros: Gorgeous!, Yummy

I want to live in this restaurant

The garden entrance, rustic wooden furnishings and decor, and peaceful views transported us to a different era. The food was delightful, and I got to savor all kinds of wild foods I had never tried before, like ferns, acorns, and garlic stems, not to mention the buckwheat tea. The value for an entree and assorted banchan (side dishes) was frankly amazing. Almost everything was vegan, except beware of the kimchi, which is made with fish sauce. I was especially thrilled by the perilla seed soup with dumplings, bibimbop, acorn dish (very spicy though), and the fern bracken side dish. We ate there four times in one week!

Pros: Stupendously good value, Delicious food, Authentic, rustic ambience

Cons: Floor seating only (bad backs beware)

Perfect experience

We were asked if we were vegetarian or vegan and provided with a vegan picture menu. My favorites were the bibimbap, lotus wrapped rice with acorn jelly and dumpling soup. So kind an welcoming. Very affordable.

Pros: Authentic environment , Kind , Accepts cards

Great place to experience vegan Korean food

Delicious food and in a beautiful setting with large windows. Staff are very kind. The side dishes are quite delicious, as were the main meals. I spent my Christmas dinner here and it was magical!

superb

I am Korean/American and I want to caution everyone that not everything is vegan here. But they know what vegan is, and will accommodate. Excellent food and service.

Worth trying vege place in Jeju

A very traditional dining place. The owner is super friendly, even though she is not very good in English, but we managed to communicate with simple Korean and English. They have fixed menu, basically 2 rice dishes, namely the Lotus leaf rice and Bibimbap. There is one dish (from the food menu, 4th dish counting from the right, if I am not mistaken) which uses anchovies in the soup, the owner knew we are vegetarian, and thus offer to specially cook it without the use of anchovies. It would be good to tell them you are a vegan/vegetarian. For oriental vegetarians, I think some side dishes do have garlic and onion. You may tell the waitress or owner about it so that they won't offer you those dishes.

Superb!

I loved this place! I was staying near this restaurant for 3 days and went there every day! It has traditional Korean food but everything is vegan, so healthy and with lots of different side dishes. The staff is very kind and they even gave some tea for free. The interior and atmosphere of the restaurant is also very unique, traditional Korean style

Pros: Everything is vegan and healthy, Not expensive

Cons: Menu is written in Korean
