Cute hanok tea house - Edit
This hanok-style tea house serves a variety of vegetable dishes. All dishes are around 10000krw.
Read moreThe perilla stew with wheat dumplings was good but a little too bland for my liking. The side dishes were nice, especially the potato cakes. I didn't have the kimchi as it contains fish sauce.
The staff was friendly and one of the employees was fluent in English.
While the food (or at least the dish I had) isn't mind-blowing, it's definitely worth a visit as the place itself is gorgeous.

Beautiful place, ok food - Edit
The place is very beautiful, almost everything is vegan or otherwise can be made vegan. We had the acorn jelly salad and we're a bit disappointed, maybe we just chose the worse dish on the menu.

Yummy!! - Edit
There is an english menu available, and the server was very accommodating and said whatever we order, she was able to make vegan. The food was absolutely delicious and refreshing. They even gave us an extra order of potato pancakes (we ordered 2, they gave us 3 to accommodate for our bigger group). Even the restraunt atmosphere was so nice and a unique experience, as you sit on the floor! (there were cushion pads so it was quite comfortable) Extremely pleasant and such a nice experience!

Consistent food standard but wish they had more options - Edit
This is our third time here in 4 years and their food never disappoints. Good place for traditional local vegetarian food. Will always return when visiting Jeju

Great place and ambiance - Edit
This traditional restaurant is in a really nice place, next to a little garden that offers great view and the room’s decoration makes everything. The food was tasty and fresh, but not all side dishes were vegetarian (I don’t know about the kimchi, but I was served a soup that smelled fishy). However the other banchan were really good. The price is also cheap for a more traditional place.

Okay food, better atmosphere - Edit
This is the place to go if you want that tradition Korean atmosphere and a view. The food wasn't that special but it was okay. Also, they seem to cater mostly to larger groups.

Lovely food - but watch out for the stock! - Edit
I really love the setting and location here and the people are very friendly, but as posts below note it is not all veggie or vegan. Please ask - they will swap the anchovy broth for a mushroom broth and also not serve you the non-vegan pan chan (including the kimchi - not vegan). The tea is great!

Nice but not veggie - Edit
This is a nice and cozy place. The first time I came I was blown away by the inside and outside decorations but honestly the food isn't that amazing. Mostly importantly, it is not vegan, not even vegetarian! My heart aches whenever I see a review from a vegetarian or vegan person. They use anchovy to boil the stock and one of the banchans is SQUID. So please, if you are vegan or even vegetarian, do mention "VEGAN blabla" when you order. And even so they will serve SQUID in the banchans. As a vegan I feel a bit betrayed since I paid for dead animal flesh.

Regrettable experience - Edit
We had a hard time swallowing the food. The texture was very gelatinous and chewy and besides occasionally spicy side dishes was devoid of flavor. While I generally enjoy temple food, this was an experience I regret.

Beautiful Traditional Spot - Edit
Nice garden at the entrance and glass walls once inside to keep the view. There is good energy and nice traditional decoration. The food is cheap and tasty but not mind-blowing. It's very traditional and by-the-book.

Must try - Edit
The place is beautiful and peaceful and the food is amazing. If you never tried Koream style, hot perilla noodle soup '들깨메밀칼국수'(it tastes similar with tahini sauce but milder, nuttier and creamier) you really should try this here. You won't regret.

An ipressive setting. - Edit
Onlt vegan or vegaterian dishes as budist monks eat. We ordered 3 from a 6 dish optiins menue but receive so many more side dishes that we couldn't finish it all. The dishes were interesting, new tastes, not all to our liking. The house is lovely, unique and truly lovely! Must visit if only to see. Highly recommended!

Temple food in a great setting - Edit
I had the bibimbap twice. It was served with a battery of side dishes which were all unique and flavorful. The main dish itself was very rich as well. Make sure to go before dark as the view from the restaurant is very scenic.

Tasty, ‘pure’ food - Edit
Dasoni serves only few dishes (6, 3 of which are broth noodles): they are all vegan and super tasty.
Read moreIngredients are fresh and cooked in a very light way (it’s a ‘temple cuisine’ restaurant).
I especially loved the bibimbap and the (vegan) pancakes with herbs that comes with it.
The venue is great too!
And prices are super affordable: 3 courses approx. 26K won.
Take a taxi from Jeju-si as it is not that easy to reach by bus.
Pros: Great and pure food, Very affordable
Cons: None

Temple food in a little paradise - Edit
The place is hidden on a small road and offers a magnificent setting to eat temple food. The restaurant is very traditional with old wood everywhere. The decor inside is beautiful as well as the view outside on a big tree and the volcano. The staff is friendly and helpful and knows what veganism is. On the menu, quite everything was vegan. We ordered a bibimbap and it came with many sides, all very good and fresh. Portions are generous and prices are low for what you get. It's definitely the best find of Jeju. You have to stop here or make the move in if you are in the area!
