Casual restaurant that offers a buffet spread. Most items are vegan but a few may contain egg, so vegans should check. Kitchen staff hand makes the food, including the dumplings, buns, and glutinous cakes. Take what you'd like then pay by weight. By the register is also a wall menu (in Chinese) of noodles and dumplings that you can order a la carte. Location is a couple of blocks from the train station. Open Wed-Sun 11:00am-2:00pm, 5:00pm-8:00pm. Closed Mon-Tue.

Disappointed unfortunately - Edit
Unfortunately this wasn’t the best vegetarian buffet. We had many positive experiences in Taiwan but this wasn’t one of them. We went on a Friday night at 18.00 and most dishes were already sold out. There wasn’t much choice and the choices that were left were not great. We’ve had way tastier buffets. Wouldn’t recommend.

Seems to be popular with the locals, I think there were many regulars. There were ~40 trays to choose from. I liked everything I tried and paid around 150NT for a really full plate. They also have corn stock and a sweetened chia seed drink on the side. I was super happy to have 16 different plants/mushrooms in one meal, so I will be back😄

Food was pretty bland, a bit pricey for what you get. Everything is in Chinese so you kinda just have to figure it out. I got yelled at for not knowing I shouldn’t use a tray.

Ristorante vegano, almeno così mi è parso di capire quando ho chiesto. Opzioni buone, altre meno o troppo "grasse". Insalata con mela e patate deliziosa. Si paga a peso, io 134 dollari, un pelo eccezionale per la media dei buffet.

Popular Local Buffet - Edit
This pay-by-weight buffet has many dishes to choose from, most of which are vegan. I paid 120 NT for a large plate plus rice and soup. It all tasted good, but because I arrived late many dishes were already gone and some were cold. So best to arrive within the first hour of opening to get it while it's fresh. It seems to be very popular with the locals and can be busy and noisy, surroundings are drab, but that didn't bother me.

Local food can be found here along with very reasonable prices. In fact I'd say this would be my go to place for a cheap, delicious and filling meal! Just a quick word of caution, if you're also vegan just be sure to look out for eggs and dairy.
