Enjoyed our dinner here! My favourite dish was the tater tots. The chimichanga was disappointing to me… it was filled with so much plain rice, no vegetables, and then came with more rice on the side. Would love to try more items on the menu. Also you seat yourself, order from your phone & they bring you the food…. So there is very limited actual service here - you can decide if you prefer this or not!

This is one of the best texmex I've ever had. Seriously delicious. Chimichangas, queso, enchiladas, corn on the cob, appetizers, tater totes, churros all were so delicious. The quesadilla and salsa were lacking a little in flavor and could be better. Been here twice and always craving more.

I personally like this way of ordering.
I wish they'll open another location in north Dallas
visited 3 more times since the review and I like it even more. This is my favorite restaurant. Owner is very nice and friendly.

The food is absolutely incredible and blew me away. However, ordering is a pain because you’re supposed to use a QR code and order online and have your order brought to you. The system glitched and we had to order from the counter because the online menu sent us through an endless loop. Then because servers are only here to expo basically, we couldn’t get refills on our water. These plates are huge so it was hard to get enough water to drink while eating.
Read moreOn the other hand, like I said, the food was amazing. I got the chimichanga which is monstrous and a hell of a meal. My friend got the flautas plate, which I honestly thought was even better than my chimichanga. The guac and sour cream was awesome and I even stole some to add to my chimichanga for a little extra flavor. Great place. Would come back for the food, but they really need a proper wait staff.

I was so impressed. Got the beyond meat queso (bomb), bang bang shrimp tacos (okay, not super flavorful) but the kale that came with it was mouthwatering. Hubs got some sort of burrito also delicious. Then we got the Churro Beignets and I could have eaten those myself!

BEST Mexican food in Dallas - Edit
The BEST Mexican food I’ve ever had period and it’s vegan! Service was lovely and the ordering experience was incredibly convenient and easy. You can tell how much this place loves to cook what they do and each meal was perfect and plated beautifully. I’ll come back to Dallas just to eat here.

Love the food here!! The variety of flavor in a dish is just very rich. Those nachos are pretty huge, I can never finish them, they’re big enough to share. I don’t ever regret getting them.

First time having a vegan birria taco and this place exceeded my expectations. It was absolutely delicious with the consomé. I ordered Al pastor. This was my last meal in Dallas and I’m glad it ended with something great. Also ordered the churro beignets which were good!

I got the birria tacos with black beans and rice. You have the option of jackfruit, impossible or beyond meat. I got impossible meat in my tacos and they were delicious. It was a whole vibe in there and I’ll definitely be back.

Casa Del Vegano was on out must-try list for awhile. Now, it will be #1 on our GO-TO list. We love the atmosphere and All the incredible choices. They do amazing Birria jackfruit dishes: tacos, enchiladas & a killer chimichanga. This is mi Casa!

When we first walked into Casa del Vegano, I got the vibes of a former nightclub, although it is a fairly small space. Never mind all that. The food we had is incredible.
Read moreTry not to overindulge on the chips and salsa you get at the beginning. Sure it's tempting, but save room for the food. We started with a happy hour "queso" special with veggie crumbles. It was a tad spicy but really good. I got the Coastal Scallop tacos, made with mushrooms, purple cabbage and corn, with a side of black beans and rice. I do wish it had more mushroom "scallops," but it sure was tasty. My boyfriend got the Chihuahua Chick'em tacos, also made with fried mushrooms and served with tater tots. I tried the fried mushroom, and it was also very good. Even though I was getting pretty full, we decided to finish with the churro beignets, five lovely minibuns that peeled apart beautifully and were just delicious.
Getting Tex-Mex when you're in Texas is a must. To get your fix (and also to get your daily vegetables), check out Casa del Vegano.

Large portions, great for sharing, and generous pours. I would avoid the cheesy/fried dishes if you’re someone who gets sick when too much oil is used in the cooking process. Their “scallops” were really good and I wished I had ordered that instead of the shrimp quesadilla — it’s a bit greasy.

The totchos (tater tots covered in nacho cheese, bacon, etc) were enormous and probably enough for 1 very hungry person or 2 people sharing.

In general I found the food is on the saltier side here and had to drink lots of water after.
Try the beignets! Super buttery, fluffy, and a good mix of sweet and salty.

Read moreFirst thing about this location is there is parking🚘 in the back and on the front street but I think it's paid parking. The food here is very fulfilling. Come in with a hungry stomach and leave out wishing you had stopped eating halfway through lol ☺️. To me the music is a little loud but it's normal comfortable sitting inside. They have a bar and it's open and available. I experience pretty good service while I was inside. The bartender was keeping up with everyone in there until the waiter came on duty. I went in this establishment right around lunch time on a Tuesday. If this is the type of food that you're looking for I would recommend this establishment. Enjoy ❤️🙏😇

The setup here is unusual; instead of having a server, you order everything by scanning a QR code on your phone. If you’re more of an introvert like myself, you may like this. If you enjoy the traditional service, then maybe not.

I ordered the Crunchy Chimichanga and I was really pleased. It was full of unique flavor and I would gladly have it again. My friend ordered the Birria Beef Tacos with jackfruit and wasn’t quite as satisfied. They had a strong cinnamon taste that I don’t believe everyone would enjoy.

I had the chiles relleno. It was a very large portion but could have used more flavor. For me, I prefer quality over quantity. It was tasty but I expected more seasonings, spices, flavors. I may not have chosen their best dish. As for service, they plop a QR code in front of you and that's about it. I sat at the bar and saw other people ordering a margarita drink special from the bartender but I was told I had to pay through the QR so...no specials for me? Any way, worth the visit, especially if you're REALLY hungry.
