So good! - Edit
Since I don’t live on this side of town I wont be able to go in frequently. All I could say is that mushroom shmeet pie and cardamom roll was amazingly good. With so many different options I wanted to take one of each but got what I could at the moment. I will be back to try everything on the menu.

My Fave - Edit
I absolutely love Carina's. I always go for one or two pastries and end up with a box of them. There are always dozens of things I want to try and it is nearly impossible to make a decision. I apologize for holding up the line.
Read moreMy sweet favorites are the Scandinavian almond cake, Swedish cake balls, and the seasonal fruit danishes. They occasionally have some marzipan/Swedish princess cake-type thing which is my extra extra favorite! On the savory side, I love the biscuits and biscuit sandwich.
Pros: Great sweet and savory treats, Supports people with disabilities

Carina Cares - Edit
There were so many choices, but I picked a Scandinavian almond cake. It had a lot of flavor packed into that little loaf. I appreciate they offer food most other bakeries and cafes do not. Also, they employ people with disabilities.

Yummy all-vegan bakery and Cafe - Edit
Thoroughly enjoying our sweet potato salad and open faced sandwich. There's nothing healthy here that appeals to our 3 year old, but she'll be overjoyed with the pink cupcake.

Try and find what works - Edit
Stopped in and tried a cheese/scallion biscuit, a bean sausage wrap and a chocolate almond bon bon. I really liked the biscuit and spouse liked it more that the biscuits from off the griddle. The bean sausage was interesting because it had a sausage-esk feel, but ultimately tasted more like beans and felt on the dry side. For me the best was the little chocolate bite, perfect moisture and sweetness. I think there is enough to try to find what you like, just may not love everything.

Delicious Options - Edit
The store is adorable and has a very heartwarming story behind it. I’ve gone her for coffee and a few treats which have been pretty delicious. Even ordered cupcakes for my birthday. I had a wide variety of allergies to avoid and they were very adaptable to my needs which I greatly appreciate. The combination of chocolate cupcake with berry frosting wasn’t my favorite. The frosting was extremely sweet and the batter was almost like a brownie (not a bad thing to me). This all could have been due to the allergy restrictions. Wonderful staff as well!

Excellent coffee, treats, and sandwiches! - Edit
I work in downtown Beaverton and often bring in treats for my office from Carina's. Everyone LOVES them. Yes they are vegan, but my non-veg friends can't even tell. The coffee is so good too (Sisters Coffee) and it's cheaper than anyone in the area. Also, the seeing eye dog under the counter for the visually disabled employees are so cute. Love this place!

How unfortunate - Edit
Being brand new to the Beaverton area. I was super stoked to find out there was a vegan bakery near my house.
Read moreI love the story for the bakeries creator. Who wouldn’t? The place is adorable and it’s vegan! Unfortunately, the fact that it’s vegan doesn’t automatically and magically make it fantastic.
The staff was friendly, yes. A lot of the reviews I have read mention the staff. Staff can make or break a place and it’s review however the wonderful staff is not enough to carry this place to anything above 2 stars. I will go to this place again because I like to support local business and vegan businesses especially and I will go again because I believe in second and sometimes third chances. All I had was a cinnamon roll and coffee the first time. There are other things to try.
Pros: Local business, Vegan, Friendly staff
Cons: Not good food

Yay Bakery!! - Edit
Even in larger cities it can be difficult to find a spot for breakfast foods that are dairy free. The Lingonberry coffee cake was EXCELLENT! And the Carmelita bars were very tasty too. This is a great spot.

Small Place for A Little Treat - Edit
If you’re looking for a full fledged restaurant- this isn’t the place.
Read moreThis is a quaint cafe with handmade pastries, cookies, small sandwiches, salads, puddings, pot pies as well as tea and coffee. What really makes this place great is the charm.
Everything is made with love and care, the staff are all incredibly sweet and are impaired in some way. Carina herself has a guide dog whom she keeps in a little specially built kennel under the food bar. With hand painted artwork and lovely blue and white tones around the cafe space. The owner is from Danish lineage so she really knows what she is doing with traditional cooking.
Prices are a little high because of being handmade, but worth it. Everything is 100% vegan, soy free and with gluten free options. Unfortunately a lot of things have a lot of sugar and oil, so if you are sensitive to such things, I wouldn’t recommend this place. Although recently there were a few salad and raw dessert options added!
Tea menu is nice, my favorite being the cocoa mint and the Yerba mate.
The shop has a rewards program that’s really nice that will give you a free drop coffee every month or so, as well as a free cookie for your Birthday and discounts on items.
Sitting is limited; with about 4 cute little tables near the windows.
All around a great little gem that I recommend anyone to try. 💗
Pros: 100% vegan, soy free, GF options, Staff is all disabled/impaired in someway, Everything is traditionally handmade
Cons: Most items are very sugary/oily, Not a lot of seating

I Wanted So Bad To Like This - Edit
The shop itself is so cute and welcoming and the people there are so nice. But the food unfortunately isn't that great. I tried literally one of everything on the menu - luckily the menu is small enough that this is possible, and I'm so sad to say that nothing really wowed me.
Read moreI honestly wanted so badly to like this place.
Pros: cute layout, friendly staff, small menu
Cons: Not really great food
